I do want to try playing more when the patch comes out, maybe learn another character or two for fun. So yeah, I’d be down. SFxT is the only game that seems to handle my bad internet somewhat acceptably, or at least it did last time I played online 6 months ago. Could come up with some cool cross assault combos and use them in matches? lol
Ive been playing n64 and gc games using an Xbox 360 controller and they are 1 billion times better. Seriously.
They easily could have done fighting games if they didn’t have the unique controller deal.
NES and SNES were the best of their generation, I think they wanted to uphold to that standard but their design team ate too much acid, I think.

I don’t think we should do just any game. I think either speed runs or obscure, interesting games would be a good idea. In all seriousness, Octodad would be an awesome game for the stream.
Another idea that I think would be really cool is a well-thought out playthrough of a multiplayer side-scrolling beat-'em-up game. And I already have an idea: King of Dragons. Did any of you play that game? It was in arcades and released on the SNES; this was back when Capcom was good at making awesome beat-'em-ups. The arcade version supports up to 3 players and I think it’d be easy to do a beautifully constructed playthrough of the game.
We could also do something better recognized like X-Men or Turtles in Time. That would be cool.

what is the general consensus on using ROMS etc while doing the speedruns/whatever? is it generally insisted to play the game on its original console or are emulators the standard pretty much?

its insisted to play the game on the original console but we’re not Speed Demos Archive so i really dont think it matters since youre not going for a world record anyways. playing on an emulator will be much more convenient for us all.

Just finished Nier… what an amazing game, so highly underrated. The only bad thing about this game is the sidequests, they’re soooooo tedious. However the story, gameplay, characters and music in unbelievably good. I will have to play through 4x just to see all the endings i think~ (new game+ auto starts at the 2nd half of the game which is nice, and each time is slightly different i hear)
