In FFXIII’s defense Ithink the battle system is spot on. Battels and bosses are very fun.
As for the story, I was embarassed to play it.

IMO FFXII had something great, and XIII just gibbered it.
battle system is pretty neat but yeah… when you’re 11 chapters into a 13 chapter game and you feel that the game has virtually gone nowhere you should reconsider your storyline haha
just search Code Geass on piratebay, sort by seeders. top seed is decent quality with good subs. not sure if there is a widescreen version of Geass out… I want to find a decent 720p copy at least
Baccano is on my list… after I watch Code Geass season 1 I’m finishing Gurren Lagann finally since Doug said it was awesome. then maybe Code Geass season 2 or Baccano depending

i thought the battles sucked. the game auto-selecting ur best possible choice means all u have to do is mash X the entire time. (A if ur on xbox?) how boring. maybe i wasnt playing it right? and they did have the crazy fucking cool ass summons or whatever like odin but u barely ever would get the chance to use them.
however the game was visually amazing.

come on man, the battle system in 13 sucked
paradigm 1: blue blue red - use at the start
paradigm 2: red red blue - use when you guard break them
paradigm 3: yellow green green - use when you’re hurt
boss battles needed the debuff and buff slots but for 99.9999999999% of the game that wasn’t a giant face with shoulder pads(i can’t believe that not only was one of the only bosses in the game re-occuring, but had absolutely no change any time you faught him) you just needed to alternatate those 3 and do what you do for the entirety of the game, battle or not:
