Cable combos... i'm working on some

s.hk tkvbxxahvb.

looks pretty kool but too hard to pull off.

I’ve done this to another cable in battle b4. Connects two timeflips in one combo. Seems like a pretty flashy combo.

cable accidentally does hvb instead of ahvb. jp.Rh(with sent gamma assist), dash in cr.lk, cr.lk, cr.Rh (assist connects), timeflip, after they’re airborne, dash in and otg w/ cr.lk, cr.Hp, dashpunch, timeflip, ahvb.

JUst a small question…what is tkvb?

I don’t know all the lingo but I’m pretty sure it’s a TIGER KNEE VIPER BEAM.

cable question about a combo. Combo goes- jumping hk cancel ahvb,launch, lk,mp,fp,(falling)hk,(land)lk,mk,???
Can you do anything after the landing lk,mk?

To answer ComboMasher question, since they fall to the ground, if you knock em with a c.lk, c.lk, they should pop up, so you need to do a s.hk, short simatar xx ahvb. I think that’s how it goes. As for cable questions, here I go.

AHVB setups
j.hk lk, lk, hk, ahvb - the most common way, now the fun ways for my use

psylocke aaa note, you need to be very close for this to work
lk, lk, hk+psy, gernade (lk), psy should hit, gernade should catch em, c.hp xx ahvb.

sent gnd
j.hk deep, dash, lk, lk, hp+sent, hp hp, sent hits, gernade (lk), run and j.hk deep, dash, lk, lk, hp, hp, hp, hp, simatar, ahvb.

storm - proj 2 levels required for maxium damage and a heavy character (draw back, must be in corner)
j.hk deep, dash, lk, lk, hk+storm, vb lp prefered xx timeflip, it hits, wait about 3 seconds, jump back and launch the lk gernade and hold it until it is under the opponent opponent should be in the air let go of the gernade, opponent should land on it, ahvb.

Those are just some that I use, there are PLENTLY of them, Cable is sort of the Diamond Dallas Page of Marvel… he can ahvb almost out of ANYTHING.

  • (w/ Doom <B>) j.hk \ / d.c.hk+assist, assist hits [OTG] XX TKG, grenade hits->(on way down) sj.lp, assist hits again->dash forward, j.lp->j.hp XX AHVB…

I THINK that’s how it goes. I made this a long time ago, but it’s been awhile since I’ve actually tried it again. It might also be possible to jus’ j.hp XX AHVB instead of dashing in and doing the j.lp->j.hp XX AHVB, but I’m not sure.

  • (w/ CapCom <B>) j.hk \ / d.c.lk->c.mp->s.hk+assist, assist hits, super-jump cancel (backwards)->sj.hp XX AVB XX AHVB…

Saw this in a match vid, I think Genghis was the one doin’ it. It looks :cool:.

Pretty basic, jus’ looks nice 'cuz of the nice pause b/w then AHVB and the s.hk XX QFC+HK.

  • (w/ Sentinel <Y>, full screen) s.hp+assist->s.hp x3 XX HK Grenade (hold HK)->grenade connects, wave-dash x2-3->d.j.hk \ / c.hk, pause, DP+LP XX AHVB.

I jus’ added that as the ender as I wrote it. It should jus’ be d.s.lk->c.mp->s.hk XX AHVB, but at least this way it looks a bit falshier.

  • (w/ Magneto <A>) j.hk->d.s.lk->c.mp->c.hp+assist->pause, assist hits, AHVB…

This is one of my personal favorites. It hurts more than [most of the, w/o assist] the normal chains into s.hk XX AHVB and looks hella better.

Hardest part of this one is linking the s.hp into the tag-out. After that, it should be relatively easy.

Yeah, these aren’t the most flashiest, and most, if not all, can be either rolled and/or mashed out of, but shit, who cares. At least they somethin’ different than chain into s.hk XX AHVB.

that’s not the best cable combo by far. that combo sucks balls. his BEST combos…

those are obviously his best two combos, since they’re 100% combos right there. your combo is like… ok… i can do a chain combo into a super as well…

its easy it reliable and if you do it low enough to the ground you can put ahvb X 3 the only promblem i have with your godly combos is performance i would love to see you pull that off in a match it just dosent happen most cable players are runnaway players and that seams to work for them so i dont think theyre going to try and learn combos with him n e wayz

I dont know why people hit s.hk XX lp scimitar XX AHVB. It seems hard. Much easier to just tiger knee after the hk. Though this looks more stylish, s.lk, s.lk, s. fp XX AHVB.

yeah, personally, i like hpx4 xx scim xx ahvb, or clk, clp, shk, pause, xx tkahvb

w/e tho… i prefer flashiness with cable, cuz without some, he’s BORING as fuck to use… no RTSD

Hes “boring” because people make him boring. Continuous j.hp, nades and keep away, chip. Some people actually get scared if Cable gets close. I perfer to play both up close and keep away. It depends on who your facing though.

Anyone know how to hit the nade in a aireal rave? I still have not managed to do so.

speed up the magic series… so they get as high as tehy can… then throw a lk nade… that works for me, but i don’t like it… just hk is enough… try to put them in block stun and reset them

but i play my cable rushdown style, and corner trap (not boring repeat traps with assist… tactical ones with chp, j.hp, and grenades for zoning.
