Things that would improve the tournament:
- Change to $10 per game. We all know that nobody is willing to travel to a tournament with such a low entry fee.
- Need more mvc2 players. If a 16 player tournament in PAGG is possible then I don’t see why people don’t show up for this game at c3.

nah man ten bucks at PAGG is fine with no venue (plus more people show up for MvC2) but not C3…no i have never been but i plan on making the next one 
i know people would say whats an extra 8 bucks…you arent looking at the larger picture it would only be 20 bucks+8 with that venue fee…instead of roughly 50

Here’s the problem with Marvel: all the players are too lazy to come out, so nobody shows. Since nobody shows, when people ask “who’s there for Marvel”, there’s nobody, so nobody else shows. Never ending cycle.
Plus, for everyone that is there, only like 4 people signed up before I made a last call. So, when anyone asks “how many do we have for Marvel”, and I say “3”, don’t be surprised if people who were marginally interested don’t enter.
People were there for HOURS (even overnight), and didn’t sign up until brackets were done.
This is just tournament. It goes without being said that the players are too lazy to create a real scene.

just make some ten and others not… i don’t know if GG will be run next c3 or not…im sure 3s peeps will pay 10… GG does pay out 10 and so does tekken… but you gotta understand… this is the locals that pay the ten… so i dunno why it’s hard to save alittle more to play something you want to get good at/ like…

yo havoc, we can’t really have a tekken tournament next month. there’s going to be a tekken tourney in richmond on the same day as c3 and i’m probably going to visit VCU that day. so no tekken next month. if you’re still running tekken, i wont expect a lot of people to show.
Yeah…I’m wondering how the turnout for the next event is going to be with the GG peepz going out of state and now apparently Tekken peepz will be out too. I guess that gives more floor room and less sweaty armpits. Unless we can get a big number of people out for the Capcom games. We should definitely focus on getting Capcom people out for next month.
with less tourneys, that will mean more room for smash players. i’m expecting 200 smashers at the next c3. bet it!!
I hear that. I just put down some dough on getting CvS2 and GG:AC (huzzah!), and what, now I’m gonna spend another $20 on entering those two games in the next tournament? I’d think about it at $10, but I’m not going to wager twenty dollars that I’ll have learned so much about those two in the next 30 days that I’ll be able to get top 3.
This is the same for anyone learning any game. Several of the guys entered games they knew they didn’t have a shot at winning but the $5 price tag and need for experience convinced them to enter; fewer of them, if any, would have been willing to pay double.
Making the tournaments more expensive is a payoff for like 4 or 5 people in each game and a negative for everyone else, and that payoff would be considerably less than double because of the fewer entrants. The bottom line is that raising the price, just like making the payout structure more top heavy, is good for a select few and decidedly not good for the community.
