Try Trial 4 for youself and then list the specific parts you’re having trouble with after.
Finally decided to give Viper a shot and went through all her hard trials. So, I just wanted to add my own tips to passing the 3rd and 5th trials.

After unsuccessfully trying the :qcf::uf::qcf: and the :qcf::qcf::uf: methods, I switched to doing a 450 (360+90, starting from down, ends with forward) motion instead and it works beautifully. This is very similar to doing ibuki’s insta-SA1 in 3S. as suggested before, practicing with c.mk or c.hp helps… but basically the full 360 motion takes the strict execution out of the picture. instead, you just have to nail the timing for the sj xx ultra to come out. if you do the motion too fast, her super/seismo/ex seismo will come out. too late and she superjumps.

All the tips previously mentioned helps a lot. But if you’re like me, you can’t do a dp from a full crouch to save your life. I was able to pass the trial using the shortcut dp method (:df::df::2p:). But I wasn’t content with this I still couldn’t do this combo in a practical situation, since the shortcuts were probably made w/ pad users in mind.
so, after some tinkering this is how i ended up getting a consistent fff -> ex seismo:
1a. negative edge the c.hp -> TK… less button presses, less room for error.
1b. if you do take my advice from step 1a, wait to see the c.hp get canceled before tapping 2P for the feint… too early causes the EX TK to come out. if you choose to ignore step 1a, skip straight to step 2 because you by the time you finish your double tap, it’s already time to tap the 2P for the feint.
2. tap forward as you press 2P to feint… once again, doing DP from a crouch sucks. so get the forward tap part of the dragon punch out of the way here. also, when doing a DP from a crouch, it’s too easy to get an unwanted super to come out instead.
3. finish the combo with the c.HP xx EX seismo. I personally press and hold MP + HP as I tap down, and then roll the stick to df to negative edge the seismo. you can do this however you want.
part 2-3 are done in one fluid motion. imagine pressing buttons with every step of doing a dp. so, my finished product looks like this…
c.hp (hold), qcb + (release c.hp), f+2P, d+2P (hold), df + (release 2P)
I still gotta finish the 5th hard trial. I haven’t really sat down and tried to do it. Should have it done by this weekend.
Well after 15 minutes of playing, I got it today. I had trouble at the cr.fp -> ex seismo for some stupid reason.

when i do any cr moves followed by DP motion i use the charge characters method… that is:
df+HP = cr.fp
d,df+HP+MP= Ex Seismo
i never had any problems with DP motion during crouch ever again…

I have an even scrubbier method for this… df+HP(hold),d,df+LP+MP…
Why this ? Because negative edge can sometimes screw the combo: I get fierce seismo instead of ex seismo because I let go of HP too late… still sucking with the stick I guess :(((
Her hard trials were EXTREMELY difficult to complete with a fight pad. I think i’ll take a break now–my head hurts.
so after getting used to my te stick i took another shot at vipers hard trials.
trial 3 made me go nuts.
i’m on trial 5, i can do all the parts seperately but i can’t seem to connect
c.hp, feint, c.hp into ex sh.

Just wanted to pop in and say thanks for the tips everyone, I’ve been lurking here for a while. If it weren’t for you guys I don’t know that I would’ve stuck with Viper. I’m finally able to do fierce feint fierce combos in matches and I’m having a blast! She may still be a little over my head at the moment, but I’ll keep at it.

I also did the all of the Viper’s Trials with a DualShock3 using the D-Pad. My method was the same as yours, just mashing the :d::df::lp::r::uf::qcf::3p: hoping for it to connect.
I got a lot of crouching light punchs followed by HJC and then I got a crouching fierce punch -> HJC -> Ultra right before the actual combo.
The 4th and 5th was so much easier then the 3rd, I got both in less then 40minutes. Now I have all of the Challenges completed and I’m a few online victories away from my Platinum Trophy.
I can’t hit the 2 heavy punches on trial 5 on hard. I have to cancel the thunder knuckle, and I do, but the second heavy punch won’t hit. any help?
It’s just your timing. There’s a rhythm to do the FFF - and you can find it on youtube through those tutorials. Just listen to their keypresses and compare them to yours. I am assuming you’re doing the fierce thunder knuckle feint, right? That’s the only way to link those 2 fierce punches. You can’t do them using the jab or strong (LP or MP) versions of the feints.
Viper’s third. This third trial I’ve probably invested a good 9 hours in. I know the methods. I am on a TE stick. At this point I’m watching this video: [media=youtube]pVPzjnLjZR4"[/media] to try and memorize a rhythm. I’ve had sf4 for 3 months. I have all trials besides viper’s third and gen’s fifth done. gen’s fifth is no problem i just havn’t practiced the MP mash into super.
I can do her: cr.lp -> sjc -> ultra about ~80% of the time.
But her: j.HK -> Lk -> cr. lp -> sjc -> ultra ? exactly 0% of the time.
And I think I’m beginning to figure out why. It’s the lack of rhythm. It’s odd. From the HK to LK to cr.LP it’s an ‘odd’ pattern and the timing just throws off my muscle memory of cr.lp sjc ultra. I’m slowing down the j.HK into st.LK just to make it an even rhythm on the next “beat” (the cr.LP).
What’s great is that I can do both trial 4 and 5 99.9% of the time ;;;;;; god help me

Am I the only one having trouble with Hard 4? I can do the combo easily but it doesn’t register the heavy burning kick, what the FUCK
You need to a ground burning kick, not the airborne version.
