oh my god, i think i might cry right now. i was doing viper’s last trial, and a SUPER came out instead of the ultra. sigh.

awesome! thanks for all the help guys. I finally got hard trial 3 when switching sides. i guess that my wrist is more accustomed to doing the motion clockwise. I also got trial 4 after training myself not to negative edge the ex seismo combo. (sometimes i wish you could turn off the infinite super meter).

ok…found a trick to the cr.hp tkc cr.hp combo. If ur having trouble completing the two cr.hp’s at beginning of combo, look at vipers positioning after she lands the first low hard punch…its right when she starts to slide away from dan (when he is trapped in corner) when u execute the cancel. I thought u needed lightening quick reaction speed in order to complete this combo. U dont actually. If u do an ex tk while trying to cancel the hp thunderknuckle, ur doing the canceling waaaaay too fast. If you’re getting the hp tk ur either executing the cancel a bit fast or too slow. Once again, wait til she starts to slide away from dan, then cancel ur hp tk, and Immediately land 2nd cr. hp. I also noticed that her ex seismic can be executed like a dragon punch combo.**When landing her 2nd cr. hp, hold down foward, then roll back to down, down-back, down, down-foward again then PP. Some players prefer to land her ex seismic using foward-down, foward-down PP after cr. hp. The choice is yours. Now, this will get you thru the combo, however you wont be able to watch her slide back unless opponent is pinned against wall. Keep practicing and you will have it programmed into ur muscle memory and you will be able to pull it off anywhere on the screen. So I passed Trial 3…but I don’t know how I did it. I wasn’t realy paying attention. As in, I was looking at the window. And in the corner of my eye I saw the combo chart turn red one by one and I was stunned. In a way I’m happy because it’s taken me about a month of off and on attempts. But then, it’s not like I know how to do it…

Oh well, trial 5 time. How do you guys FP knuckle cancel? I’ve always, always used LP tk to cancel.

FP TK canceling: Normally, just to cancel the FP TK, you gotta be super quick with the 2 punches. When linking the FP TK after a standing or crouching FP however, you have a bit more of a window to time the cancel just right. The FP TK cancel is so quick that you can throw another standing or crouching FP while the opponent is still in hit stun therefore making a combol.

THis is such fucking BULLSHIT on her trial 2! Im sure its because im using a dual shock 3 but I know I can pull this off because im able to feint the TK but it keeps doing the EX version! and because of that the ultra comes in too late- GTFO OUT STUPID BLUE BARS!

Well so now i’m finally get my ex seismo out after the second cr.HP but i keep messing up on the instant air BK so i get the normal high jump burning kick which of course doesn’t work.

I’ll keep at it though, before i couldn’t cancel consistently and now it feels easy just got to get it all in muscle memory.

Im still on #3… I did number 4 in training mode the other day since I already know what it is. Im sure 5 wont give me too much trouble. But for some reason 3 is just kicking my ass. The closest I got was doing the whole combo (high jump included) then getting the super. I was PISSED.

I’ve been practicing my TK feints lately and here’s what I’ve discovered. You’re probably trying to feint the TK too fast. The game thinks you’re just trying to push PPP. So slow it down a millisecond and try again.

just finished vipers last trial…it actually IS NOt that hard…once u get the timing down for the 2 cr. hp’s…the rest of the combo is cake. Now im finished with all 250 combos for all the chars…now its time to practice full-time with viper.

isn’t there a bridge over some traffic you should be jumping from… naw but congrats i definitely wont be doing that i’ll make friends do it that play those toons lol

can some please explain to me the exact way to do hard trial 5?

ive done the FULL thing twice now, and every single hit connected and combo’d but it did not register.

the first time it stopped registering at the high jump
the second time the high jump registered but the burning kick did not.

both times i got ‘full’ combo and every hit counted, but the full thing did not light up red. what the hell?

It’s a super jump canceled ground burning kick that you’re supposed to be doing. Don’t super jump into the burning kick. Do this instead:
:d: :db: :l: :ub: :u: :hk:

You’ll get a ground version of the burning kick.

cheers for that, i also worked it out by dong testing different methods in hard trial 4 and what you said was pretty much spot on.

i personally used qcb, uf, hard kick but its the same principle i guess. doing a high jump into burning kick will not count, even if it hits :(. i managed to do it though so ive finished c.vipers trials now and that was the last one i had to do to finish all chars :smiley:

Finally done with trial #3 in hard, turns out i was doing qcf motion to fast, took me about 2 hours to get through it.

Finally done with Vipers trials, now i’ve just got to incorporate hard trial 5 in to my game.
