It’s asking you to hit :2p: right after you do :dp::p:
Right, but when? After the animation, right before, during? I tried over and over and know…And I assume it’s any two punches at the same time, right?
No, hit the two punches not used for the special
For example, you do a wp Seismic Hammer, since you used wp, the two punches you have to hit at mp and hp.
You hit them at the apex of when she lifts her arms and you see the flicker. If you want to cheat you can just map a button to be wp+mp+hp, but that won’t help you in the arcades.
Edit: nevermind, I’m an idiot.
i’m positive that it doesn’t matter what 2 punches you press to cancel the moves
Glad that I’m finally able to sit down and practice shit with this MILF. Trial challenge has got me stumped too. I’m stuck at hard trial level 3. When I saw HJC > Burst Time I knew I was going to get frustrated with this one.
Just playing the game with some of my friends right now…I’m really starting to realize how much tougher it’s going to be to get good at this game with C.Viper than it was with Ibuki in 3S. Ibuki had almost nothing execution wise that was as difficult as C.Viper’s stuff and some of C.Viper’s more advanced but very useful strings are gonna take some real sitting down and get used to. I’m still working on the best ways to do TK’d burning kicks.
Not to mention the game in general is a more “rigid” game than 3S was and you can’t necessarily option select your way out of everything like I could in that game. You really got to have a plan for everything you do in this game and that alone will make the game mentally tougher for me. I’m used to that though playing a lot of ST and messing around in CVS2 so we’ll see where that goes.
I’m feeling the same thing. I played Viper a good bit in the arcade, and I always figured I’d learn all the knuckle cancel & sjc shit once the console version came out, but now I feel like I’ve actually gotten worse, trying to do all this shit at once. I love scrubbing out my Ex TK cancel instead of HP, or doing HP cancel, Ex cancel.
THANK YOU!
Been stuck on that thing forever, kept doing it the way the OP stated and it wouldn’t register, this worked thanks!
so how do you do a mp TK to super for the 1st hard trial?
I’m not sure if it HAS to be done in the corner, but I did it with him in the corner and it helped a lot, because the end of the screen stops you from traveling so far after the EX knuckle.
For the FADC to ex knuckle to burst time just buffer the knuckle during the dash and then you should get the knee crumple version then just burst time. Its all a timing issue as you need to ex knuckle immediately.
Also I have a knew way for doing cr.fp to to hp tk fient. I do hp, qcb+hp{hold} piano roll lp+mp as if you were trying to double tap those buttons, Ive gotten it much more consistently in training mode that way and now I should hopefully be able to start using it in matches more.
Kunai: I was wrong you def have to high jump cancel from the cr.lp to ultra. I have not learned the correct motion for doing this yet : ( hopefully I’ll figure it out soon.
I swear it feels like for her combos I can’t use visual queue’s at all I just have to go ahead and do the combo as fast as I can or it won’t work. See FADC, cr.fp tk fient, burst time.
Vipers challenge mode is awesome, some seriously challenging stuff here.
The timing for the Jump Cancel into Ultra is to tiger knee the cr. lp and then do another :qcf::3p: to get the ultra out before the jump actually comes out.
edit: Just got it down perfect. You have to do it like this: :d::df::lp::r::uf::qcf::3p:
Make sure you input the lp at down-forward and not down, it’s a lot harder to Jump Cancel the lp if you do it at the start of the tiger knee motion for some reason.
I’m reading some general posts on GameFAQs about C.Viper since I haven’t been there in the long time and the general consensus there is that she either completely sucks or is unnecessarily difficult to use. TBH…she is one of the toughest characters to use in SF history so I don’t blame them.
I might hit the trial mode tonight to try some things.
I’m stuck on the first trial for hard mode. I can get all the way up until emergency combo, but my EC seems to always be a bit too late. <_<
Watching the video of it show EC coming out instantly after the thunder knuckle but I can’t seem to get that. I even tried just practicing TK -> EC can’t seem to find the timing for immediate super.
EDIT: NMD, I got it just gotta be real quick with it
That Thunder Knuckle challenge is crazy, totally impractical.
If you can do that 10/10, you’re a superhero.
Haha I’m stuck on the 5th and final HARD trial.
cr. fierce, TK cancel, cr. fierce, ex seismo, high jump, roundhouse flame kick, ultra.
I’ve landed it too, it’s a 9 hit combo(and it takes off a huge chunk). thing is, the game wouldn’t register my roundhouse flame kick as being inputted in the process. Also, since you have full super meter, the margin for error with doing cr fierce into ex seismo is redic, cause the super sometimes comes out. Makes things very difficult adding in the previous motions and presses up to that point in the combo. I’ve had success with doing df, df, 2P for the ex seismo off crouch fierces.
I saw video of the last trial, looks insane. I’m actually suprised I’ve gotten as far as I have without any overwhelming feelings of hopelessness considering I’m usually a charge player and this level of execution is insane. Doing some of these things in the heat of battle is gonna make my head explode. Only makes my respect for great Viper players even greater.
omg, finally finished the last trial on hard.
Shit takes FOREVER.
The Fierce Punch TK cancels from cr. fp are all about timing, there’s a very steady rhythm to them; I’d say they half about a quarter of a second in between each punch input. Getting the second cr. fp into EX Seismo is actually pretty easy if you press :df::hp: then :df::p::p:. If you didn’t already know that, you can do dragon punch moves with just :df::df:. Makes it a lot easier to execute them in long combos like this.
