if you do it that way doesnt that make it an EX TK cancel? because i dont think that counts
No, it counts alright. This is what I’ve been doing and the TK Cancel lights up with red (Punch x3 is like fierce punch), but I just can’t get the Ultra out fast enough. I don’t want to give up on this, but the game isn’t giving me much of a choice here.
It’s either I keep trying and cripple my hand or give up now while I can still move my fingers properly.
sigh
The thing about 3, it really doesn’t seem like you need to be insanely fast to do it when you do the qcf followed by qcfu. There’s got to be something that we’re missing that isn’t getting the ultra to register before she leaves the ground. I’m thinking it has something to do with when to actually hit PPP. I refuse to believe this combo is done purely out of luck and crack speed mashing the direction buttons. I can get it to go off with just c.lp to ultra, and the motions aren’t all that fast. Something about all those added hits thats fandangling the timing.
Also note, that after the first qcf you need to briefly have your direction pad or stick in the neutral position, or the HJ won’t come out when do the second followed by fu.
I know right? its just weird… if only trial mode had input info =.=
Hmm when i tried it your way, the TK cancel would light up red then go straight back to white. But if it works for you then why not.
What worked for me is buffering the first QCF of the ultra before doing the feint, you actually have quite a bit of time to do the feint.
So do the lop FP and cancel it straight into the TK, pause for a split second, then do the cancel. It should work. Get that down first. When you can do that consistently, start buffering half the ultra in that brief split second.
Another tip: turn down your sound and do the motion slowly (progressively quicker) with your eyes closed
It’s not possible. There’s just no way. I’m sick of trying this.
To anyone who has completed this with a PS3 controller, I can only assume a couple of things:
-
You had a pro do it for you
-
You have a stick actually and just want to say you did it with a PS3 controller to sound cool
-
You have mechanical hands which you have programmed this motion into
-
You glitched to complete it
So, as far as I’m concerned…it’s not possible with the pad. That’s just all there is to it. Unless someone can somehow prove me wrong, I refuse to believe this is possible on the pad.
God you complain on the sc4 forums and now you come here and do the same thing. If you can’t do it with the pad then switch to stick or just give it up and move on to something else.
I agree with Ceirnian, you did complain in Soul cal as well, why complain on here?
I did viper trials on a 360 Dpad and it’s much easier on a Ps3 pad IMO, and Tatsu btw since when did you become EVERYONE’s abilities? You reached over 9000 didn’t you?
Oh look everyone! The jokers are here too :looney:
Get lost
I’m just telling you, just because you can’t do it doesn’t mean someone else can’t
does anyone even know the solution to the third trial? I mean theres obviously some trick to it
And I’m just telling you. I’m frustrated. People say all sorts of things when they are upset.
Do I really believe some of the things I said? Of course not. I don’t believe it’s impossible on the pad either, but I’m just venting my frustration in the only way I know how.
Did you expect me to say something like, “Boy! I’m sure glad everyone else can do this on the pad except for me :D” ? I’m not exactly thrilled about this. I can’t stand putting so much time and effort into something and constantly failing at it.
It’s pissing me off. Still trying, but no luck (obviously). I feel as though I should just give it up and move on, but I’m not satisfied with the way things are right now.
I haven’t even touched Online Mode or anything else on the game as of recently. I HAVE to pass this trial. Even if I can’t complete the other three, I must pass this one.
I’ve already put so much effort into it. I can’t just give up now. Unfortunately, my hand disagrees and I’m having to take breaks more frequently.
I would like to thank you for that little bit of advice there. Ive been stuck on that for prolly a month now, and i just finished it 2 times in 2 minutes with that movement, it worked like a charm. Unfortunately this next ones hard. What im doing is j.Hk>s.lk>down+c.lp>Tigerknee>U,ub,b,db,d,df,f+PPP. My question is, is it possible to do it that way or does the 360 take to long to pull off before u can cancel the ultra from the SJ. I play on the 360 joystick btw =/
^ That’s cool.
Put your controller down, and take a three day break. You might be surprised at how beneficial it is to rest appropriately. Training in games is just like training your body; you need downtime and rest before you can see results.
That’s what I do anyway, and I can magically skip hours of training just by pacing myself.
=] I did it with PS3 controller. So can you!
Yeah, have done all of them on the ps3 D-Pad so far. Just stuck on viper’s idiotic 3rd Hard still. Then it’s off to finish Ken and Gen’s 5th, and knock out el fuerte’s remaining 2, and I’ll be done with this BS once and for all… until I need quick reference anyway
I did them all with a PS3 pad. That’s all I use. Joystick need is overrated in my view…
Trial 3…is that the FA > c.FP > feint > Ultra one?
'Cause, an easy way is to throw in an extra c.FP after the feint…which I’m sure someone has suggested in these 16 pages…it still counts as a success.
no trial 3 is the
J.FK, s.LK, C.LP xx HJC xx Ultra, and its hard as fook
EX seismo xx HJC xx ground burning kick
Okay, I have already completed all of viper’s trials. I decided to go into training to just practice up on a few things and one of the things I wanted to practice was this manuever (which is also the manuever in her 5th trial).
I can do it, just not consistantly. Its not like its a hard motion either:
dp+pp -> reverse tiger knee+k
What I don’t understand is that maybe 10% of the time I will get a ground burning kick just like I want. The other 90% of the time I just do a back high jump. What is the reason for this?
EDIT: I went back and tried for a few more minutes and I figured it out. For some reason you can only do this HJC xx ground BK if you wait for viper to stop blinking yellow first. This is basically after she has slammed her fist and is in the process of starting to stand back up. I don’t understand why you have to wait though.
i’ve been wondering why i always get a back high jump too.
is it because you’re not allowed to buffer moves with Viper?
