Fierce Feint Feirce Feint CR.MKxxMP.TK doesn’t work on Zangief anymore.
I wonder what was changed, Zangiefs hitbox or Viper’s ST/CR.HP has more pushback now
I just tested it … it is still working for me. But you have to time it right … cause sometimes the second HP whiffs.
Really? I could not for the life of me do it yesterday…I knew I was wrong but I spent 15mins trying to do it and the MK whiffed every time, I didn’t have any problem landing the HP’s just the MK.
Works fine for me. Maybe you werent hitting the MK early enough for it to link, but I’ve done it in the corner and midscreen several times just now.
Figured it out…I was doing a ST.HP instead of two CR.HP’s lol my bad
Was fierce feint fierce feint c. mk xx mp tk ever possible against the big characters? I remember reading that it was possible but I can’t find that post now.
It was always possible on Zangief & as far as I know only Zangief.
Hi guys, I’m trying to make a statistic regarding combos (all characters) and I need a little help. I need 2 combos per character:
For now, what I’ve found is:
Is there anything better ? Thank you.
Also, is the dmg value corect ?
cs.MP, c.MP xx MP TK can be a BnB, but for the most part I would consider a BnB something that you could hit confirm off of, such as a c.LK.
For me I would say her best BnB is this:
c.LK, cs.LK, c.MP xx MP TK
165 dmg / 320 stun
It could be argued that FFF is a BnB of her’s as well, but I would say that is more of a punish combo, as that combo is mostly landed as a punish at high level. However, since you are asking for midscreen combos only, the FFF combo you listed only works in the corner.
cs.MP, c.MP xx MP TK
208 dmg / 360 stun
c.HP xx HP TK feint, c.HP xx EX seismo SJC BK
323 dmg / 550 stun
c.HP xx HP TK feint, c.HP xx EX seismo > MP TK > HP TK
379 dmg / 710 stun
corner only
EDIT: I guess you could consider this a BnB as well since it is technically a hit confirm:
cs.LK, cs.MP, c.MP xx MP TK
205 dmg / 370 stun
That’s great stuff Floor, thank you.
Regarding Bnbs, I agree, I consider a Bnb something you can hit confirm of, I just didn’t know any of vipers.
I’m interested in practical combos, stuff that people usually do in real matches (but also asuming they put the time to learn the optimized stuff), so regarding cs lk-cs mp-c mp xx M tk - is it a usefull bnb ?
If not, I take c lk- cs lk one.
Very interesting, viper is usually regarded as a big dmg character, but outside of corner her combos are not that big. But I guess there are other aspects of her game that ups her dmg… (ultra combo, etc).
I have seen Jayce and Latif do the cs.LK, cs.MP, c.MP xx MP TK in couple of matches. Since that is technically a hit confirm, I would say that is her best BnB combo. Her most common hit confirm BnB is the c.LK, cs.LK, c.MP xx MP TK
Yeah, Viper’s damage comes from being able to land her ultra for little to no meter anywhere on the screen. That and her c.MK xx MP TK buffer adds up a lot over the course of a match.
Are there any standard links for my friend learning viper besides the ones listed? For a beginner who is stuck on viper? I am giving him the basics no sj cancel links or crazy ones yet preferable meterless or red focus
This is pretty basic, but I struggle with scl. lk scl. lk. scl. mp cr. mp
Especially online since these links are not plinkable. Any tips?
cs.LK, cs.LK, cs.MP, c.MP is not a universal combo. It works mostly on crouching characters and rarely works on standing characters.
The links are plinkable.
hey guys, i am testing the damage of viper combos and i realice we are wasting a lot of meter going for fancy stuff.
for example:
i test the classical c.mk x strong thunder knuckle>red focus>ultra
and it’s a waste of meter it’s much better going for c.mk x strong thunder knuckle>fadc>c.lp>ultra
same shit when we try to do FFF intro redfocus combos, it’s complete waste of meter.
I wouldn’t say it is a waste of meter. For one more meter, you get a much easier ultra combo that deals slightly more damage. With MP TK FADC combos, the c.LP / cs.LP is an unplinkable link, unless you use select / back. Having meter in later rounds shouldn’t be an issue.
c.MK xx MP TK RFC cs.HP / c.HP > U1 deals more damage than just going straight into ultra from the red focus crumple.
Correct. This is covered in the USF4 changes tut.
hey guys, i found a new set up, maybe this can help us.
The basic idea of this set up is land a j.hk crossing oponent up in the corner, not matter if they do quick stand or not.
1-(corner)>FFF>ex seismo>fierce thunder knuckle>instant air forward burning kick> fierce feint>j.roundhouse
2-(corner or near to the corner) ex seismo>jumping burning kick>ground ex burning kick>j.roundhouse
So if the guy do quick stand, you land your jumping roundhouse, if not, you land in the front, so you are able to wait a bit and jump again.
Vs some characters is fake cross up to (i need test it) in one or both jumpings.
So I’ve been messing around with FFF into meterless FADC c.roundhouse but I’m struggling to land it consistently. I tried Chuchu’s method of doing the half circle back into up forward with no luck, really inconsistent trying to do it with the tiger knee’d motion. I have the most success with just doing a super jump input. I was trying to practice it today and I noticed that I maybe rushing it. It seems you don’t sjc. into focus until you can completely see the dust, I’m not sure. Whenever I try it on hit i burn meter, when I delay the cr. roundhouse doesn’t connect. Should I be trying to buffer the input for the cr. roundhouse into the last frames of the dash? Whenever i get the meterless FADC to come out clean the sweep whiffs. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks
Timing and the speed of you performing the SJC.FADC matter (how fast you move the stick).
Practise!
Good luck
