interesting…too fast huh?
so you guys do the uf motion during the first time instead of the second time ?

Yeah Lost Fragment gave me that suggestion and he was right. If you do it too fast you will get super because that cancel overides the sjc cancel. You have a small window that has to be hit to get ultra. Too fast you get super, too slow you get a super jump.
That realization should have came to be sooner because it’s the same thing as doing ex seismo, sjc fadc, whatever. If you hit focus too early you burn meter, and if you do it too late you just super jump.
I do the uf motion during the first motion. A lot of players do it that way.
yeah,i do uf on the first part of the motion for cancels.
And standing fierce will link to crouching fierce, just has to be counter-hit. So you’re both right :arazz:
Actually, I use qcf, qcf, up + ppp for my sjc ultra combos.
From what I heard from various sources this is the most reliable method. I guess it’s a matter of preference in the end though.
yea SJC ultra seems to give me the most trouble
i would think this is one fo the moves that would be better on stick…
i dotn relaly have problems with sjc fadc thoguh…
i can do c.mp into ultra, but if u include the hit confirms like s.lk, c.lk, i cant get it…
i find that df, f, uf x2 then ppp worked for me…but still trying to figure out whic is the best
I do a whole 360+PPP for my sjc ultra. Comes out like butter.
Just make sure you’re doing the motion for SJC cancelled normals into Ultra very lightly. Try not to touch the corners of the stick and do the motion quickly and fully.
nice ahahhah
Uh…Care to go into detail?
Start at down, spin all the way around like a 360 so you get in the d, df, f, uf for the first qcf of the ultra, continue going all the way around then as you come back around to down again do d, df, f as a continuation of the 360 motion. So it’s kinda like a 360 with an extra 90 degrees tagged on the end, then PPP. And that should work, or so I’ve read in threads long gone.
I have to agree that this method of doing the SJC ultra is very effective but the feeling is awkard when you have to link it from a cr.mp or any other move. So it takes a little time to get used to the motion. I think everyone is still used to the hadoken, hadoken UF method.
But doing it this way, almost gurantees a HJC ultra everytime
When I mess up sjc ultra these days, most of the time it’s because I miss the c.mp link. Frustrating. I need to work on my reaction time a bit so if I don’t hit the link I don’t press ppp.
Anyway, man I can do everything else of Viper’s pretty reliably but I can only do ex seismo sjc fadc ultra like once in 10 tries. It’s not the sjc fadc part that gets me, since I can tack that onto fff or whatever without worrying about messing it up. It’s having to do the qcf x 2 so quickly. But I got a shitload of idle time from now until Monday, so starting in a few minutes I’m gonna grind on that shit and not stop until I either get to 70% or so or go crazy.
This
I do something similar, for example
cr.lk stdlk cr.mp then back to neutral and then I do a 360 motion starting from down and continue to forward and then PPP, comes out everytime
I never thought of doing it that way lol.
I think I may have found Viper’s most dizzying combo.(sorry if it’s old though)
It’s a tweak of this combo: FFF>Ex Seismo>sjc MP TK>HP TK FADC>EX BK.
Normally you’d do an Ex BK and it only does 2 hits in this combo. But you can make it do the full 3 hits by sjcing the Ex BK backwards, so that the BK won’t move forwards, it’ll stay in place and you’ll get an extra hit out of it.
491 damage, 905 stun, done on Guile. Since Guile’s got 900 stun, it was an instant dizzy, lol. Haven’t tried against anyone else apart from Dhalsim, and couldn’t get the extra hit to land. Dhalsim seems to drop down fast so maybe that affected it. That or his hitbox changes in the air or something. Whatever.
EDIT: Whoops, EX BK does 4 hits, not 3. So it’s not the full amount of hits, haha. Doesn’t matter though.
DOUBLE EDIT: Haven’t tested the above combo on everyone but so far everyone so far apart from Dhalsim can get tagged by the 3 hits of EX BK.
Now, without HP TK FADC, you can actually get the full four hits for EX BK! Dunno why though. Without the HP TK FADC, the stun goes down to 875, but a better trade off meter wise since you only use up two bars.
And I just came up with this combo against Akuma.
Jumping Roundhouse>FFF>Ex Seismo>SJC MP TK>sjc backwards EX BK.(for four hits, but either way, Akuma will be dizzied) After the dizzy, Level 3 FA, EX TK(do it quickly for the crumple), FFF>EX Seismo SJC FADC>Ultra.
625 damage, 20 hits, ended at 875 stun. Blows all your meter, obviously not practical, corner combo only. And I’m pretty sure you can get an extra hit by changing the ending. Instead of sjc fadc>Ultra, do delayed SJC BK>Ultra but that combo was really awkward so I don’t want to perform it again, lol.
Good shit ryuga, as far as the first one I’m pretty sure that’s in these forums somewhere, beyond that, ex bk sjc’d backwards is pretty clever! But you’re right, that’s a whole lot of meter to be using. Odds are if you are in this situation it’ll be a final round finisher, s’gotta be hella flashy too haha.
Thanks! Yeah, that combo was posted before. I’m also pretty sure that people knew about SCJing backwards for more hits, but I just put it in anyway. And you’ll most likely never, ever get the chance to pull these combos out in a real match anyway, lol, especially the last one.
Anyone see the glitch justin showed off with viper against balrog at nec?
No, what was it
jab tk fadc thru crouching balrog
