He sjc’d into it immediately but feinted because it would have missed. I’ve seen other vipers do this as well such as Kensou.

SRK_Conan is right, if you sjc mp tk, it will will whiff in corner so u have to feint it and do another mp tk. however you can also hit with mp tk without feinting but it means you don’t hjc cancel, you have to time it really fast after recovery of ex seismo.
I must admit though feinting it looks extra cool.
Yeah if you have the opponent in the corner and you are right next to them and hit them with EX seismo you’re better off doing a feint first so that you have all day to time the MP knuckle. Otherwise you have to wait and link it and it’s possible to miss if you’re not on point. SJCing the MP Knuckle outside of super late after the seismo (which will cause it to hit really early) will make it whiff.
so,
fierce > ex seismo > sjc fierce knuckle > ultra
does this work midscreen? I always seem to be just out of range. Is anyone here skilled enough to fit a dash in after the fierce knuckle, or maybe sjc earlier so that they are juggled at a better angle?
I dunno if it would work with FFF. Thats why I have just one fierce.

I can almost guarantee you that’s only gonna work in the corner and it’s safer to use strong/medium punch knuckle in the corner. Viper’s dash just isn’t quick enough for that to work. You could try feinting the HP knuckle and then dash but I doubt that leaves you enough time to ultra either. Viper still has to stall in her HP feint animation for a short time and that cuts off any chance she would have to dash in and have time to ultra. That’s the whole reason Uryo and other high level Viper players started learning SJC FADC Ultra. Cancel the EX seismo into a super jump and immediately cancel that into a focus dash. That way you dash forward immediately after the EX seismo instead of waiting for the recovery of HP knuckle which is obviously too long to dash in and Ultra. Learn how to SJC FADC (super jump cancelled focus dash) and you’ll be good.
There’s 2 ways to input it…either do d,u+mp+mk, dash forward OR d,uf+mp+mk then hit forward one more time to dash. The whole point of that combo is to allow her to do mid screen ultra on any character. Especially characters that are tricky to ultra after a burn kick like Honda, Gouken, Dhalsim, Viper etc. If you for some reason have to fight a Viper mirror it’s required that you learn how to SJC FADC Ultra if you want to ultra her midscreen without wasting 3 bars. SJC FADC allows you to dash forward out of any of your super jump cancellable moves (seismo, most of viper’s standing and crouching normals) without wasting any meter. The only drawback is that Viper’s regular dash is slightly slower than her yellow 2 meter focus dash.

Probably old news, but Viper can swap SJC HP TK feint with a SJC Seismo feint when juggling mp.TK after an Ex Seismo. I’ve only tried it in the corner against Rose(random select) and managed to tag on Ultra afterwards. I haven’t tried it with FFF, though perhaps Seismo Feint after FFF wouldn’t work because it’s slower, I’m not sure…
At any rate, SJC HP TK feint is probably a better option since it’s quicker but perhaps SJC Seismo feint might be a good alternative for people who find SJC HP TK a bit awkward. Though I find SJC Seismo feint is a bit awkward for me.

for me its easier to go straight to sjc medium knuckle . you get all the time in the world.

Yeah it works in the corner. If I hit EX seismo when they are near the corner that’s usually what I’ll go for. Actually…since I like to practice my SJC FADC execution I’ll usually end up doing that even if they are near the corner. Just have to be careful not to be right next to the corner or SJC FADC to Ultra will whiff.
EX Seismo xx SJC xx Mp.TK = whiff.
If you SJC the Mp.TK, you’ll just go right under them, which why people SJC feint because it puts you at the perfect timing. Any TK feint will do.
or you can just learn the timing for hjc mp.tk and you’ll hit . the feint does put u at the exact moment you have to do it but its not really hard to just wait…
Seriously man? It doesn’t whiff. It only whiffs if you fuck the timing up by doing it too early. I’m really surprised you don’t know that. There’s absolutely no reason I can see to do any kind of feint after a seismo if you only plan on mp tk’ing after it. Unless you just want to be extra sexy.
I don’t see why people are saying it’s hard to connect in the corner. I can’t remember the last time I whiffed a sjc mp tk after a ex seismo in the corner due to doing it too early. Every once in a while I’ll miss from doing it too late, but never too early. Once you learn the timing it’s damn near impossible to miss. It’s super easy. Feinting is totally unnecessary. If that’s what you want to do though more power to you.
yeah there’s a HUGE window to super jump cancel after you connect a seismo.
just time the mp knuckle a little later and it’ll connect.
Yeah I didn’t get that either. Do it all the time. The only time I mess up is when I mess up the actual cancel and go super jumping backwards. :lol:
damn devil post up early on the forums lol ggs last night though. i think we have alot to learn about the way eachother play, but i was lovin those sjc fadc ultas, gotta add that to my bag of tricks, maybe we can exchange what we were both doing wrong and try to make eachother better, i havent played a good viper in forever and i think were right around the same level of competition, even though your execution is beastly. def going to spend this week learning sjc fadc ultra, after i saw the benefits it gave u in are matches, and to stay on topic, u can mp tk in the corner no problem but im a very lazy viper and dont bother with the sjc mp tk, but thats just the way i play.

hey guys just barely started playing viper like a week ago probably gonna play her at the my next ranbat would like to get some mirror matches in with some good vipers to see some tricks and what not seasoned vipers actually use. Right now im just playing her kinda like i play my fuerte sorta lol and that makes it by in g1 but not in tourney soo just wondering if it would be koo to add some of you guys??
