C.Viper Combos and Glitches

Does it combo off the tk feint?

Unfortunately no. If it did that would be pretty beast because then if I did fuck up, I’d still get a chance to connect to ultra

So I guess it makes sense that it doesn’t in that case.

Sweet, I’ll be the loser actually following through with the combo instead of throwing out unwanted seismo’s. Thank you sir, you have officially made up my mind on whether or not to use my method.

Indeed and I shall enjoy doing fierce feint fierce while in tournaments while you QQ because of button binding being banned. :wgrin:

Don’t play in tourney’s, don’t care. Make sure to post all of your matches in your “elite” tourneys. It’s always fun to watch average players with over sized egos getting rocked in tourneys.

I has a oversized ego because I “lol” at button binding…:wow:

I <3 getting rocked by good players. Only way you’re going to learn and get better.

“you mad”.

rofl…however you need to justify it yo…

I believe EVO allowed button binding.

:amazed:

Button Bind allowance is game specific IIRC. Looking at the Evo 09 rule set posted ATM, nothing about binding has been posted in the SFIV rule set so it still must be up in the air.

Anyway, enough off-topic nonsense. I feel bad for cluttering this thread with a series of silly posts. If you’re dead set on continuing this convo, feel free to PM.

Back to fierce feint fierce-ing.

I have trouble pulling it off in intense match play. My fingers get all shaky and ends up either just doing hp tk, or ex tk.

Being new to fighters, (started with SCIV and this is the first SF I’ve played more than once), it’s taken a lot of work to really get combo’s and what not done. Here’s my system for working something new into my game.

Main thing is to start slow. When I first started playing Viper I wanted to do all the sweet ass combos I was seeing in all the vids. Didn’t work out so well, ie…I got my ass handed to me on a regular basis. So, I decided to play as basic as possbile and really focus on just adding one combo into my game at a time. I started with j.hk, c.mk, m.tk.

I worked on the combo in training till I had it done well over 90%. Then I brought it into actual matches. I would only focus on doing this combo, till it came naturally in battle. At the same time I was working on c.hp, exseimo, bk in training bringing my execution rate up. Once I had it up high in training, I would bring it into actual battle and only focus on executing this combo. I would not try anything new until I could do this combo at a high sucess rate in battle. I would not try to go for the ultra extension, because I could not hit it consistently in training mode. Eventually I could and by that time I had c.hp, exseimo, bk down pat in battle and I was able to extend the combo in battle with relative ease.

So basically what I’m saying is break the combo down when you bring it to actual gameplay. Right now I’m only using j.hk, c.hp, feint, throw. Once I have this down in battle I will add the rest of the combo in. Hope this helps a little.

Mr. Wizard said that all control configurations in the game will be allowed, so 3 p and 3 k buttons are viable at Evo

However it won’t help you at the arcade or other tournaments that decide against it

Plus button mapping apparently doesn’t even work right in this game. Sometimes 3 punches or kicks will only get you one or 2 when trying to do an Ultra. In effect the button mapping would probably work against people in tournaments. Best off learning to hit all 3 buttons at once or get a stick.

Does Evo ban playing the game strictly for fun? Am I required to play in tourneys cause I play this game? Jeez, I’m gonna get banned. :frowning:

Street Fighter is serious business man. I seriously get pissed when I lose to my friends. haha.

I played with pad up until 3 days ago and qcfx2 with the mapped 3p button worked every time, my ultra was never a super.

Update on my stick goodness: For the most part I’m getting almost everything down, I still have trouble doing ultras/supers on the left side but my super jump flame kick is around 80% success rate at least.

Also just hitting all 3 punches in general, that will come with time I’m sure though.

and on topic, When I do fierce feint fierce my ex siesmo never comes out, I do the motion for it too slow, but if I do it too fast I always just get a ex siesmo instead of crouching hp.

Here’s my input. Down (hp) db, b (hp), foward (hit both mp and hp) down, (both mp and hp) df, (both mp and hp).

I feel if I changed something somewhere in my inputs it could make my timing easier, cause the way I do it now I either get a second c.hp after the feint with no ex siesmo, or just an ex siesmo after the feint.

Why the hell would anyone play C.Viper for fun? I play C.Viper so I can go to Evo and save the world from the GORLAB ARMY!!!

Playing around in training mode. I think I’m going to go for s/c. fierce, hp tk feint, c. fierce, MP TK mid screen when I’m lazy instead of the usual s./c. fierce, hp tk feint, c. fierce, ex-seismo, HJC BK.

fierce feint fierce MP TK does 10 points more stun (560) for less work and no consumption of meter. Granted the damage is less (276).

I’ve also been messing around with fierce feint fierce HJC Ultra. It’s a shame the push back from the fierce feint fierce is too far for the ultra to connect or connect fully.

Yeah you still have to waste some meter on EX seismo and then at least sjc fadc before doing the Ultra. If you’re trying to combo off fierce feint fierce any ways. I would try just sticking to the stuff that works like close s.MP, c.MP to Ultra or c.LK, s.LK, c.MP, Ultra.
