Ok, to do the relaunch, make sure you have a good grasp on hitstun, because the speed at how you do it will either cause the opponent to reset or it will hit.
The best thing to do at the moment @shakyscience is to practice Tiger Knee motion, @Apollunai I can see where you get the idea of super jump and quickly Burn Kicking, but that method doesn’t work very well and is a bit difficult unless you are super mega quick hands.
So [Down Up to BK] = Bad Idea, but a good observation
And [Tiger Knee BK] = Recommended
Anyways, Tiger Knee motion for anything is qcb with a up forward or just up motion , so it’s like a 2/4 instead of 1/4 motion.
What you would do is qcbu and press L,M, or H quickly as soon as the motion is done; you should do a VERY QUICK super jump and a Burn Kick right off the ground instead of the normal Burn Kick that propels you forward.
L M and H are all different when you do the Tiger knees, L is lowest OTG, M is medium OTG and H is the highest OTG(Off the ground)
The TK Burn Kick H is recommended if you’re doing a long string of combos because it is much quicker than the latter.
L version is very low and is best used with assists like Doom’s Plasma beam to a relaunch.
But during a solo combo, the TK Burn Kick L will cause them to tech out after a Seismo unless your combo string was relatively short.
However, even in a long string combo, you can still pull off up to 2 relaunches, the last one being in XFactor2-3, I’m not sure if XFactor 1 is quick enough.
But yeah, practice Tiger Knee motions with BK, because it can really benefit you as a Viper player, since TK motion is used for her Rapid Seismo and Viper Ball, etc.
I hope it’s clear, I can elaborate anything you don’t understand; I’ve used Viper since Vanilla and never have a team without her unless I’m just doing some random stuff.
Noobie here, I have been trying to figure out the best C. Viper BnB I can use specific to my team. I saw DrewGrimey had posted a 1mil combo with just 1 meter, but I don’t want to change my team makeup, and I am trying my best to make due.
I have not been able to figure out how to get more damage or save a bar to achieve the same damage. I hope anyone can give me some tips or a different combo that is still practical? Thank you!
Do not use the burn kick cancel s in the air, just leave it out. You want to conserve meter for hyper. You can of you want, but I personally would leave it out
Alright, if you’re using this combo like button for button, you can extend it and also add an overhead Adf H S starter, Viper ball H S or Tri-dash S into
Start off with either
1.•• Viper Ball H S -->
2. Box dash H S -->
3. Tridash S -->
Air. H jump M H S land (tatsu) seismo tiger knee BK launch
Air. H jump H S land **seismo qcb.hyper
**Also what you could do after landing again is to xfactor at lvl 2 or 3 then execute another
Seismo, H Tiger knee BK launch air h jump h s land seismo to qcb.hyper
I will have to test it to see if it works at that level because if not, they will tech out so execution has to be really strict if you want to add a third launch.
Hope it helped and ill get back when I’ve tested that.
•• The Viper Ball is a forward tiger knee’d burn kick cancel
Or a forward super jump cancel into burn kick. There’s a vid for it on YouTube if you search up “viper ball umvc3” I think
Also what team are you using with Viper during this combo?
Any assist works granted they fit the combo, but I use plasma beam for the seismo bk relaunch.
Also when hit by plasma, you could easily pick them up while in the air and do a simple BnB from that.
I don’t, those are normal BK H xx s.S; as I stated in the video description, this combo uses 2 meter: 1 for Burst Time + 1 DHC.
I’ve been incorporating Viper Ball into my offensive a lot, but I’ve been using the j.L j.L s.L high-low (when I get the height and timing right). Is H S more suitable?
So is Vipers optimal solo BnB still her box loop stuff? or is there anything else I should be doing while midscreen / corner? If It matters, Im runnin Vajra…so…yeah. I guess Vajra extensions would be cool if yall know any. Thanks <3
This is with Drew’s team and its a corner carry but if you aren’t too good with her staircase, I would say this isn’t the combo for you. I feel if I ran this team, this would be practical for me but I run Tony and Skrull at the moment. Anyway, enjoy.

Ok, so my experience has lead me in the opposite direction;
When I relaunch with an assist( Iron Man/Unibeam) I light seismo~TK BK H, it never works for with TK BK L only the heavy version.
I am not trying to debate that you are wrong, I’m just trying to learn collectively and individually. So question;
I was trying to get the following series to work with the unassisted burn kick relaunch today with little to no success, at most the burn kick connected but dropped the second hit of the S, the combo is pretty generic but it works anywhere on everyone regardless or “crouch height”;
Hi, pretty new to cviper. can anyone tell me why i cant do more than one staircase loop rep from midscreen, if i do more than one they just get too far for me to connect my 2nd one. also if possible can someone link me to some midscreen combos for her too? Thanks in advance
Since i went through the trouble of making these I might as well post them in here. Here are some combos for people looking to pick up Viper/Spencer/Sentinel
What I’ve found that works best is to ensure that you’re setting the loop up properly. Its alot easier to do midscreen if you set it up off of Thunder Knuckle H.~S… When you go to follow up for the air series to start the loop delay the super jump every so slightly, oh yeah…wait…very important; please ensure that you are super jumping, no super jump equals no multi-rep staircase loop.
If you play on Stick make sure you input your super jump from 1 to 9 instead of 2 to 8, very important for midscreen staircase loops. Furthermore I feel that it is of great import that super jump into j.H., double jump into j.M., j.H, BK L.~S Fient into loop. Again you have to be sure to double jump using 9 and not 8 or you’ll lose your forward momentum, thats why I put the single medium in there, it helps keep 'em controlled and they’ll “fall” in an arc that is perfect for 3 reps of staircase loops, its worth noting that if you set up your staircase loops in this fashion you pretty much have to do 3 reps to keep it consistent. And also ensure that when you land you just do s.H, S and follow up in the air unless you have a beam assist to extend the combo.
Hopefully this helps and I’d actually like to hear a reply back if you find this method more consistent and it works out for you.
