It would however look so sexy that you win the match regardless of what happens. I can get it if I hit the S on a non air opponent, but the timing of knocking them into the repulsor at such a very slightly different height completely changes where they get knocked to, if I can find a consistent way to make them fall on the side they started I can hit the combo. >.<
Though if I can consistently do it where they fall on the opposite side it will look sexier to do the flipping seismos.
I know from my Iron Man experience that the repulsor is consistent in how it throws people, but at the same time, even slight changes in when and where the opponent enters the blast can change where they wind up. Is there some way to make the timing of knocking them into it more consistent?
Like, you said you’re doing S>summonIM>jS, could you add a timing thing, like do it S+summonIM>jS, that way the timing on the repulsor shouldn’t vary by even a frame?
I dunno really, you’re further along in this combo then I am, I’m still piecing the thing together, but that was the only thing I could come up with other than “time it perfect” to try to smooth things out.
On the bright side, we can probably use repulsor’s wierd-ness for mixup and resets.
I can consistently make them fall over me but that puts them out of the corner, I can dash back S consistently, but dash back seismo is a really tight link, hitting it however is beyond awesome.
Okay, apparently it’s easier if instead of trying to backdash there I backdash over BKFing down before the initial launch. It builds tons of gauge and does lots of damage. o.o I believe I can kill Akuma without using any gauge if I hit the whole thing.
Since I only need 1 dash it’s okay, though with plink dashing I could probably get it done mid-screen and choose which corner to knock the enemy into. XD
hmm so chrisis from this combo im guessing you learned it in training mode. Did you get a console? Cause if so I want a match with you. =). lol i wanna compare my Viper to yours and see how I can improve.
I have a console now! But it’s not hooked up to the internet. D: Do I need funds Something I lack in order to play online? If not I can hook it through the internet that my comp runs on and my computer monitor to play without sound but still play. It’s a 360.

Anyways, I’m updating the video thread with some of the repulsor blast stuff. It’s the more simple things, but I wanted to demonstrate some concepts so people can tinker around more. Also, I can’t do super hard stuff with the damned recorder hooked up (TV lag).
I’ve got use to Viper online, but it depends on how bad the lag is. Still it’s pretty bad. Wesker/Wolverine/Jill any teleport character dominates online because you cant punish/block something you know you should have. And if you want to play online Chrisis you need a gold card. you could probably get a month but a year is like what 60 dollars?
alrite Chrisis i challenge you once UMVC3 comes out =). lol. btw on a sidenote the combos you guys have been posting with repulsor blast. I think they can be done with hidden missles also

I’ll record some video’s in just a bit here, the meter gain on these is absurd.

Note: You might be able to get away with 8>2A+B instead of the FADC, but I think the FADC is easier.
Relaunch using Repulsor Blast (easy peasy):

Note: You can do a TK C BK after the first OTG seismo (the one into the repulsor) and still pick up with S. It gets really finicky though, and I don’t recommend it.
Note (for both combos): I don’t think you can squeeze any more air hits in there, but you might be ables to depending on how you sart the combo. I demonstrated with EX TK to show that they work even if hitstun scaling is already pretty high.

I’m also working on an unblockable reset. If I can get it working, any thing ending with an OTG siesmo will be a guaranteed unblockable and viper will be touch of death with 0 meters… LOL!!!
Glad to see some Ironman/Viper tech getting put up. I tried to make the team work early on but dropped it because Of IM’s execution & Cr. B lol, and I couldn’t find anything else he could be useful for assist wise that others couldn’t bring to the table while having a lesser execution curve I.E Dr. Doom. Ended up dropping him too though for other reasons so I guess it’s just something to do with me and beam characters. But with some of this new IM stuff your showing me is looking promising enough for me to try and give him another go. :tup:
It does a little more damage and you can do a lvl3 mid combo which is pretty bad-ass.

Playing with FA stuff in training mode, and you can do a marlinpie (Siesmo>FADC>S) style relaunch with pretty much any assist with the right timing. Viper is so GDLK. This include all the common projectiles assist (Low Voltage, Plasma Beam, Unibeam, Disruptor, Tatsu, cold staretc…)
