I got a video on my youtube page. It give some tips here and there and most of them are done on wolverine. Much harder character to do it on but once you get it down is easy. I drop it online atleast only 20% of the time now. (depending on connection ofcourse
hey hows it going guys! i’m new to the forum and scene. it’d be awesome if someone can help me with the rapid seismo. also it’d be nice to explain a bit of the notation going on, or if someone can direct me to a place where i can learn both! lol sorry for being a scrub… =[
Check the C.Viper technical thread, it’s very thorough. Also, even with the knowledge of how to do alot of Viper stuff… it’s still very hard.
TBH if you are new rapid seismoing would probably be the last thing I would work on. I would get down the fundamentals of Viper first. People always want to do the fancy stuff with her first when they get into the character and it doesn’t really get you far.
Hell, I can do the rapid seismo’s but I will never rely on it, you’ll screw up at the most in opportune times, and look very stupid.
Yeah. The bad thing about her seismo game for a game this fast is it is very hard to hit confirm into a damaging combo. I’m learning new ways to deal with this though! Will be a long time before I master it and put it into practice
haha well i’m not entirely new to viper. i can do most of her bnbs.
i wanted to know about the rapid seismos because i saw k beast using it to do a little bit of zoning as well as anti air.
does anyone here try to incorporate the seismos into their game (outside of the bnb?)
I do all the time. Especially for characters that like to zone a lot. It makes people think twice about attacking or trying to jump forward. I stop using rapid seismo’s around mid-screen if they’re on the jump and have a dash character but that is when you do an EX.Seismo and blow them up. Bad things can happen if you try and use it too much and place yourself in automation. For slower characters like hulk and ammy it is absolutely great against them even at mid-range. I wouldn’t do them any closer unless you know they’re going to jump in the air.
would you say that rapid seismo plays an important role in your game?
Rapid seismos are great for punishing assists, but they’re main role is just to scare the opponent. In X-Factor they chip huge amounts. Also, some characters, with wide hitboxes, have extreme difficulty getting around siesmos.
Imo rapid seismo decides entire matchups. Ammy is in the dogs favour without it, or at least even. With rapid seismos, viper bodies ammy for free! I’d heavily recommend to learn how to do them consistently.
This. Seismo is her most important tool and very strong, every Viper player should learn how to chain them. I’d also recommend learning Seismo FADC, that shit is too good.
+1. The things I can do with Seismo FADC… Broken. Well for the execution its a good risk/reward. But I plan on having great execution on my new tech off of seismo FADC
Anyone got any videos of this combo? Trying to learn and having some difficulty. Also was trying to figure out if this would work with Doom, Molecular Shield assist or Haggar, Lariat assist.
Thanks.
I dunno about rocks, but with the Haggar the range is an issue, but you can always OTG after Haggar with siesmo. And Siesmo>Haggar(hit)>Siesmo nice and simple.
If you want a vid look up Chrisis on youtube, if he’s using Taskmaster, he’s usually doing that hitconfirm.
@gottnoskill: what’s the seismo FADC? is it just as it sounds FADC into a seismo? or am i missing something?
Siesmo FADC: 623A~8~S+A~B+C. Jump Install the focus into the siesmo and then immediately cancel into the dash. It gives you a crap ton of frame advantage.
Hey, I’m trying to learn some of these useful tools for Viper but I have a hard time understanding the usefulness for these. I’m a newcomer to fighting games as well since MvC3 is the first fighting game I’ve really taken to playing on an advanced level. Anyway for example, if I put my opponent into a blockstring and go into seismo->FADC where does this leave me? My opponent is either still blocking or they hit me with a cr. L. Am i missing something here? To me it seems that I’d just be better off if I just let the FA hit (level 2 or 3) that way if my opponent is Blocking i get a full combo or if the try to hit me out of it i get a full combo. Sorry if this is just a dumb question and I’m missing something completely obvious.
Anyone got tips for canceling OTG seismo into her lv. 3? I can do it, but it’s like meeeega hard. It seems to be easier with Akuma assist, but I don’t really want him on my team. Are there other assists that will pull an OTG seismo hit down a bit, like Akuma’s Tatsu, so that the dude doesn’t bounce over Viper’s dash?
No one really uses her level 3
