I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone mention the high-jump landing frames before. That would be an interesting buff and certainly wouldn’t break anything.
All her old special frames should be back to vanilla, Capcom was fucking retarded for messing with them in the first place.

On a side note these fucking character updates every week are getting infuriating. They are deleting chunks of characters hittable boxes now to make them way safer and trade free and we still can’t get a little boots worth? I want heads to roll. Take all that fucking deleted hitbox data and add it to Viper’s leg already.
would give that move a use. I feel like it’s almost an ok poke but without being able to cancel it you’re better off trying to hit a crouching forward or strong. Does it have any kind of super range though? I don’t really use it
Only thing I’d want out of standing MK is more range.
Outside that, just give me a faster sweep and fix cl. standing LK the way Flash mentioned, so I’m not getting DP’d trying to attempt the simplest of block strings.
Does anyone think there’s gonna be any secret arcade edition changes that went unposted? If anyone has any ideas, I should be playing AE in about a week. It’s not like I can test frame data… but again, if anyone has any ideas lemme know.
As for the AE changes for Viper, I don’t think we should expect much. I remember Seth was asked about some AE changes in an interview a while ago, and he said he was overall pleased, but specifically mentioned he was not happy with the changes made to Viper. Somehow, this has had me worried about her more then anything.

Info? Sure here it is: U2 Hitbox adjusted. Discuss it till your blue in the face, it was useless garbage to begin with and won’t change anything in AE.
The fact that she is such a technical character is probably why most of us are bitter in the first place. We work 10x as hard with this character to achieve nothing. There is no advantage to being able to play this technical character, herp derp is the only way to go with SFIV.
Capcom buffs characters (out the ass) that really didn’t need it and we basically get a slap in the face with this U2 buff. I don’t know if I’d call it whining and drama to be a little upset by it considering how important normals are in this game and how almost all characters are getting some kind of ridiculous buff to their already decent-great ones.
While I agree that capcom failed in terms of giving her something, atleast she didn’t get worse either. At the moment she’s still a solid midtier, and I reckon she’ll stay in midtier in AE (give or take a few spots lower possibly).
You can be bitter about her being hard to play, but sections like Gen and some other hard characters are still finding new things and discussing stuff. Not to mention making plans to gather to a AE cabinet with eachother in order to test things out. I’m just saying that I find it strange how negative everyone is being, with the salt wars and all that bullshit.
Then again Gen is getting (deserved…) buffs in AE so I’m in a good mood! Atleast they didn’t pull a Seth on you guys
Frankly I think its pointless to make assumptions about a game we have not even tried yet. Balancing a game is weird and we all know it. I’m not saying to be hopeful, but perhaps by some unprecedented turn of events changing certain other aspects of the game will inadvertently make viper a better character. Its like trying to contain chaos. Were getting week 1 AGAIN. period. So lets stay optimistic because things could end up REALLY good or bad. Can anyone point out a change that’s been made to another character that might make vipers match with that character easier in any way?

lol Daigo has problems with Viper, and has put her in the top 10 before. Though just because he has a lack of confidence in that particular match up, doesn’t mean she is good.
If I was going to give two shits about a players opinion on a characters new AE standing, It would have to be from someone who actually plays that character. Let me know when Uryo, Dashio, Gassyuku, Tonpy, or even Kindevu say something and then we can get our panties moist.
