Just run one of them a little slower than the others ^______________^
i think any basic video editor should have a framerate conversion function. if you need to change the framerate of a bunch of vids to match the framerate of one vid, a quick and dirty solution (very dirty, in your case, since i’m guessing you’re preserving the length of the videos) would be to change the framerate of just that one vid to match the others instead, then splice them all together or whatever, then convert the framerate of the whole thing to your desired framerate.
edit: actually after putting it all together, you probably won’t need to convert the framerate of the whole thing, unless youtube complains.
yeah, i’m terrible with this video editing stuff…which is weird because i’m highly technical but it doesn’t mean shit when the only experience I have with it is my first “combo” video Misc Shit.
in regards to changing the framerate of just that one vid, i usually cut multiple videos together and when i convert the framerate of them all to one specific one, it throws the audio out of whack.
btw vid 9 is up. it’s less than 3 minutes long! ha!
yeah, i wouldn’t convert the framerate of all your captures, since you haven’t had a problem with them. i would just change the framerate of the intro instead.
also when you change the framerate, i wonder whether you’re just “setting” the framerate and not actually “converting” it. that would throw the audio out of sync cuz the time length of the video would change. without sound, it’s probably not noticeable if your framerates are really similar (29.97 <–> 30, or even 23.976 or 24 <–> 25). whereas converting it would actually add/remove/blend frames to achieve the new framerate while maintaining the same time length. sorry if this is all stuff you already know, just doing the due diligence
is there an option to change the framerate so that the framerate changes but the length of the video stays the same? if not, is there an option to resample the audio when you change the framerate?
intro is dope. didn’t know about ken’s low strong meaty into short, either.
3:53 made me giggle like a jackass. So good.
Well, I’ve been learning this game and man I’ve realized something. This game isn’t even really that hard to play outside of some of the stupid picky execution and fast hit confirms. I already understand most of the mind games, but cannot execute worth shit. I don’t care what people say 1 frame reversal window is dumb and unreasonable. It should be like 2. I swear to god I would already be good at this game if it weren’t for the fact that I have to spend days playing matches trying to master the fucking super motion. It’s clearly a fun game to play if you have the execution down, but god damn is it irritating when I do the super motion and the shit just doesn’t work because I was a millimeter off. I’ll keep grinding it out though.
Whoa whoa. You’ve got things 100% backwards. The execution is very easy in 3s. There’s a pretty large input window due to partitioning things, there are shortcuts and in general the game seems to read everything very quickly/smoothly.
If you can’t do a super in 3s you’re just really bad execution wise and didn’t realize it because you maybe only played sf4 and grew accustomed to that games wonky leniency.
Execution is the baby stuff that is never an excuse. You can work on execution whenever you have free time. I don’t know what game is specifically hard to play if you play games in the genre already. I can guarantee your ‘understanding’ of mind games is worth nothing. You can’t analyze 3s if you can’t even play it, and even then analysis means nothing if you don’t feel it.
If the game isn’t fun for you don’t bother. It shouldn’t be frustrating. If it is it might not be your thing. Execution is something you have to grind though like you mentioned so be prepared for that.
Also thanks c-royd for all the videos. I think this thread should be stickied because activity is only going to increase in this forum as 3Soe draws nearer.
I don’t think he was talking shit. I think he was just venting.
Bman,
Execution isn’t the hard part, and I think what you mean to say is that you’ve breached that first wall of the mind game aspect of the game.
SF4 isn’t the only game I’ve played. I played plenty of fighting games SF2, GG, Marvel, Blaz, and some others I can’t remember and I’ve never ever had such issues with the finicky control issues as I’ve had in this one. What makes it more frustrating is that I have NO training mode for the GGPO version of the game so I have to practice my combos on the jab mashing CPU or fucking 10 year japanese veterans on GGPO. I still win matches here and there just because I have good footsies and good risk reward analysis for good reads, but the biggest difference between me and joegoodatthridstrike is the fucking execution. It’s frustrating as hell. The game is really good, like the other guy said I’m not talking shit. It’s more partly the fact that I have no training mode, plus the fact that the game requires some of the most precise joystick work I’ve ever seen in a fighting game.
If you don’t have 3s on PS2 then grab MAME and the cheat file for it. You can set up a bootleg training mode that way.
SFII has much more strict inputs than 3s… You can practice combos via GGPO emulation by pressing start on the player 2 side and just leaving the character there. Map the input for coin and start on the opposite side from you. I dunno how you think the inputs are hard. I am mentally handicapped and hand handicapped (I have hooks for hands) and I have peg legs and two glass eyes, and I can still execute stuff in 3s.
Oh I didn’t think you were talking shit. It’s just it doesn’t require even the precision of SF2. I don’t know what you’re doing but if you can do everything in SF2 you should have 0 problems in 3s.
You sound like you feel entitled to be decent at 3S which is just bizarre.
http://cheat.retrogames.com/
go there to get the cheat file for mame. hit start for both players, set cpu to infinite hp and practice. theres also z-trainer for nebula kicking around.
SFII is easier for me, but then again I actually had a good training mode. Derp, I didn’t think of the player 2 pressing start thing, I’ll try that.
Yea, wow ok just needed a little time in training mode. NM the rage posts.
Hi everyone thanks for all the input. I put a lot of time into these videos and my video editing skills are really noobish and all the feedback makes me feel al warm and a small erection normally appears whenever i read a compliment.
Could you guys perhaps leave comments on the youtuve video or the youtube channels? And ohh yeah click on Subscribe!! and Like!! Thanks! LOOOOVE YOU!
Btw, would you guys be ok with a video done entirely in chinese commentary? i’m working with Ack but he can’t fucking speak english worth a damn. I could just learn to hardsub the video or something. It sure would be hilarious if he spoke english through the whole thing.
Executionwise kara-srk is like the only thing thought of as something hard to execute thing that I can’t do in 3s. Hopefully this will help, thanks!
I’m hoping one day he’ll do a Tachi Gigas tutorial. That’s something I’ve only been able to do once and never again.
