strange is looking wonderful. now i just gotta see that gun toting 'coon and all is good.
biggest problem with strange (and nova) is where they are going on my teams… trons slot is open (hahah)

and i still think bolts is his best assist, especially for frushdown and keepaway:

they take up a high part of the screen, like thors beam, “force” crouchblock or LOOOOOONG ass blockstun, since they cover a larger part of the screen they are mmore likely to hit jupmers and are less easily avoided via air tactics.

im basically looking at them as a new flavor of drones… yep i said it.
on point though… naw that move is best left for doubleteams

Alright…another Strangely Swag player for the area.

For character that is suppose to be using projectiles, some of his normal have some deceptive range on it.


Seriously look how far Nemesis was, and Strange can still sweep>launcher him. The hitbox of his launcher is clearly huge…

LMAO at anyone who said Strange wasn’t a Lock for High A tier at minimum… Jeez this guy is sick… I really hope he does will with Dorm… I am still thinking of running Ghost Rider on point Strange Second and Dormammu as Anchor. Also Considering Thor/Strange/Nova.

Watching the Max video reminded me that in order for Strange to keep his swag going he needs space. Im thinking Dr. Doom beam could be a great assist to push the opponent back and create that space for his nasty set ups.

Oh and I don’t think L dagger of denak can Otg anymore, when I think about it Max said in his video to Otg with a Red GOH or call an tog assist, but he didn’t mention L dagger being able to, and if it was able to I don’t think he would miss it.

Pretty sure it does not OTG. I’m not even sure if it was ever able to OTG in the first place or if people just made that up because I’ve never seen it OTG in any build.

Stranges TAC combos are going to be sick.

Seth said it did in his preview build and actually had it OTG. So guess Capcom took that out for the final build.

I love how Stranges hands glow brightly on dark stages…he got them spirit fingers.

since bolts hit #1 combos into #2 that means that they’re in a pretty hefty stun state.

does that mean we can confirm the first hit into XF teleport and combo off of it?

if it’s able to be cancelled into super then I’m sure we can BoB into super or perhaps DHC (though it wouldn’t be as potent as sentinel’s beam>sentinel force>DHC)

Thinking of running Strange/Doom/Firebrand.

I’m thinking hidden missiles can buy Strange the time to land out the Grace of Hoggoth spells or the Eye of Aggamotto into Impact Palm for his setups. Doom seems to also be able to benefit from lockdown assists like the Eye of Aggamotto and both characters seem to be easy to DHC into one another (Spell of Vishanti/Sphere Flame).
Someone mentioned in the Firebrand thread that his Swoop assist seems to have some sort of start up invincibility. If so, it seems to be a pretty solid forward assist for Strange. Just some thoughts XD

'kay, so clarificiations from what I saw from Max’s video:

  • Air Impact Palm just causes a lot of hitstun, and is not soft knockdown (Nemesis flips out at about 0:23).
  • …which only means it’s still going to be really easy to convert from air-to-air options and you simply won’t get Vanilla Magneto-length combos that easy.
  • some AIP (coining it right now) combos are height-dependent. some you may have to teleport down because it seems to have pretty long recovery time, while others you can simply delay the AIP and let Strange fall to the ground for a relaunch.
  • L Mystic swords is a ridiculous anti-air with a ridiculous hitbox. see it beat Nemesis’ air normal clean at around 0:14.
  • Max seems to like confirming with cr.M instead of cr.L. it may have better range.

Day 1 midscreen to corner B&B:
cr.M cr.H S, M M H (delay), AIP, land, IP, S, M M H AIP S, land, Spell of Vishanti.

I’m thinking it does more or less 600k for such an easy relaunch combo.

I’ve got so many combo ideas It’s silly after seeing air impact palm

the combo video potential is off the scale

there is some serious styling to had

Strange’s day 1 combos will likely be similar to Combofiend’s She-Hulk combos with the delayed air normals. that’s not even using assists and his other specials to extend the combo and mixup afterwards… not to mention the loops we can find with this guy.

I don’t like calling things early but it looks like Strange can only set up two graces w/o flight before plummeting to the ground as seen in Max’s video
