So if strange has a projectile counter super and most of his moves are projectiles, what would happen in a mirror match? A crapton of rushdown?
nothing iāve seen from strange looks OP enough to balance 800k health (if in fact thatās what he will have)
I donāt want our good Doctor to be OP. I want him to be a hard-to-use beast thatāll take time and skill to work. Perhaps require more precision/placement. This gameās way too easy as-is, so some play-style variance would be nice.
I forgot, but does VJās bomb assist hit your own characters too? If it does, I wonder if it would be possible to setup some outlandish combo that has Strange hitting himself with that assist to fire off the beam superā¦
Obviously this is 100 percent speculation, but he does look like a hard to play character, yes he has a shit ton of tools, but they all look like they will require work to use, from his prisms, to the giant gold orb, to the fact that he seems to do very little damage and most probably has very low health. The closest thing to a brain dead move he has seems to be that blue projectile thingy. While I wonāt be surprised if he becomes a popular character, I will be very very surprised if dr strange is easy mode.
@Planche: Yes joes bombs hits your character(at least it did in vanilla), and now that you mention it that would be a pretty cool looking combo.
All the hype will be on the next 2 characters once they come out, then the next 2, then the next two.
Right now everyone is maining Strange, then everyone will be maining Rocket Racoon, then Iron Fist, then Nova blah blah blah. Same with Capcom side.

I truly hope Doctor Strange is on that Viper level of āsilly players you have no idea what youāre getting intoā playstyle and mechanics. I want to have to choose between lab time with Strange and doing something much more enjoyable and having a hard time making the decision.

Being hard to use doesnāt keep a character from being OP. Most of the OP characters in fighting games are hard to use. Itās just new games make characters baby mode easy to play so you get people as easy as Wolverine being one of the best when realistically in most fighting games that usually never happens. Characters with the most tools and BS shit are the best regardless of how easy/hard they are to use. I feel thereās at least 3 or 4 characters that are better than Wolvie outside of Phoenix but of course Wolverine is just so easy to play that people just figure to stick with Wolvie with only 4 or 5 months into the game.
Being an older fighting gamer Iām not used to this sugar coating of OP or top tier characters with ābeing hard to useā. Most of the best ones required a lot of work but they fucked you up and you didnāt exactly feel awesome when you got fucked up just because they fucked you up really pretty. You still got fucked up by some shit that was clearly better and had more incentive to win than what you were using.

As near as I can tell, the Red Glyphs explode when they have a Faltine Flame passes through them, while the Yellow Glyphs build up to a Crumple Beam when it is the last one in the chain. I think?
Fixed because thats how Strange pronounces his level 3 and how itās pronouce in comics. Has anybody ever wonder if Strange is vulnerable when he whiffs his level 3? In the comics, when Strange uses astral magic his physical body is left vulnerable to physical attacks. So Iād imagine if the Astral projection of Strange is blocked or whiffed, he will be unsafe.
Only seen flight so far. No 8 way. Havenāt seen any air dash at all from him yet.
