I wonder how the prism placement works and what are the effects of the projectile passing through the red prism (if any, assuming the red prism works like the yellow).
The shot that goes into the yellow prism looks like it hits once but stays active if there is a prism on screen and if it hits, passes through a prism, it can hit again. This means it can hit 4 times potentially (initial shot, pass through first to second, pass through second to third, final shot) if I’m right.
pretty sure the yellow-red prisms work like dormammu’s destruction/creation spells. 3 yellows looks to be ideal since they’re the ones that cause crumple state. the prisms themselves are out for a very long time so it’s easy to setup two, teleport, setup one then faltine flame to crumple your opponent from behind.
can’t say for sure but I think faltine flame tracks the prisms you setup starting from the latest to the first one in sequence.

Yea Im thinking the prisms are gonna work like dormammus dark spells. What I really wanna know though is if they stay on screen even after the dr gets hit, so far he hasn’t been hit while the prisms were on screen so there is no way to confirm yet. Other than that he looks good, as fun and complicated looking as I expected, should be a fun character to sit down with.
Btw it seems the dr’s third assist is the giant golden ball he drops on the screen and seem to be able to move around.
disks assist to me is like phoenix’s midair trap/trish’s peekaboo since I noticed it tracks the opponent. bolts of balthakk seem like a pretty good lockdown assist given that the opponent is put in a lot of blockstun, making strider’s teleports even more deadly
Btw the dark spells stay on screen even after he gets hit and his alt is an all baby blue outfit with some yellow touches like the belt and his gloves, and black pants.

I have seen Strange do an air dash backwards and I’ve seen him get hit but his red orb stay on the field. But when he died it left the field.
definitely confirmed that beam super is a counter, just saw it wiff.

ball assist looks like ass to me… basically a slower version of chuns legs assist? stranges assists seem to all have quite a bit of lag on startup… well at least the large ball and the 3 balls… will definitely have to protect him hardcore to use them. might as well just use double beam assist… waaay better imho.

didn’t see it mentioned, in the vids you see him say ‘grace of hoggoth’ once when throwing the fireball as compared to making a prism, and at least once the flames of faltine dissipated when it hit before touching the first prism. Not enough info to say why either situation happened though.
Not sure if it’s already been posted but it looked like his assists were:
Light Magic L: 1 yellow circle that sits just above the ground in front of point.
Light Magic H: 3 yellow circles sitting at normal jump height in front of point.
Bolts of Balthakk (?): 2 consecutive horizontal beams.
I’d laugh too, but at the same time, like if they get a different voice actor, and change his name when Voodoo’s picked, I’d actually find that kinda cool. MvC 3’s first official clone character.
Although I’m not sure if it’s been theorized yet, could Strange’s crystals have durability? Perhaps one color has durability, the other dissipates when he gets hit? I think we all agree that they’re a summonable version of Dorm’s spells. Wish I hadn’t missed the stream.

All I know is I want a for-fun team with Strange that just puts massive amounts of glowy shit on the screen.

^^^ agreed. one thing that is missing in mvc3 is slow lots of shit on screen projectiles like blackheart or mvc2 doom lasers. i really liked that spam style of play so if its possible again i will be avery happy person.

Exactly what Im thinking I feel like Ghostrider/Strange/Dormammu has the potential to seriously piss people off. If the buffs to Arthur and Modok are Interesting I may give them another go also. Holy hell it just hit me Strange + Arthur + Modok = team wizards and warriors.
