i ended up selling the game. i kind of lost motivation to play after i beat it on expert. game is too short for 60 bucks, and the versus isn’t good enough to make it worthwhile

Hell, I wish they would patch a lot of things. I want to love this game, but there’s a lot of bullshit.
Here is something fun you can try when people ragequit (usually after the bullshit) that surprisingly, most people don’t know about.
WHAT YOU NEED: a free slot on both teams.
Then do the following combo: [Join infected, find a place to spawn, spawn, join survivors] xN
If you can do this quickly enough, you will have AI boomer, AI smoker, and like 5-7 AI hunters pouncing all over the place in less than a minute. You just keep spawning special infected bots over and over. Usually smothers most teams pretty quickly.
I’ve wiped out entire teams doing this, with myself as the only member of the infected team. It’s funny seeing bots on the scoreboards between rounds. 
You usually can’t do it for long, as the spots will fill up with joining players. But it’s actually fun trying to fend off the one-man zergrush, and it’s something to do instead of waiting for players to join in the saferoom.
Another tip people might not know about (while I’m at it) is:
In steam My Games" tab, right-click on Left 4 Dead > Properties
click “Set Launch Options” button
enter “-novid” (without quotes) and hit "OK"

Apparently you can be on the infected team, spawn, go into console, type “spectate”, and then rejoin the infected team to make infected bots. So you wouldn’t need a free slot on the survivor team to do the zerg-rush thing.
Oops. Especially if you bind the spectate command to one key, I can see this being a monster griefing tool.
I can’t wait to try it against all the xmas newbies. :wgrin:

Hombre, you’re setting yourself up for some dry ass games. Half the fun is in talking. The commentary is what makes it hilarious. I’ve had conversations in which multiple deaths didn’t even matter because I had been laughing so hard
Been thinking about picking this up after I finish Fallout 3. Might wanna go ahead and add me as i’ll be looking for some folks to play this with soon. I plan to have it after I get off work tomorrow.

Hey, at least we cleared it. Well, atleast you cleared it I’ll be like, 2-4 hours. However long it takes me to beat the last 3 chapters in Uncharted, then possibly eat in that time.
I’ll be getting it for 360. My PC hard-drive is full like Rosie O’ Donnell’s jaws at Carl’s Jr.
