That’s the only time I ever enjoy using the Hunter. Close quarters, I usually get lucky when some straggler is just in a really tight spot. It doesn’t help though, that gunfire will usually pierce through walls and own me up anyway.
Now that I am on break I really need to get back into this game. Getting through expert being on my “To Do” list, last time I tried it would always be voted back down to normal =/.

Okay…I’m having problems with Steam now.
Any game I load from Steam crashed after 3 minutes…something about “memory cannot be read”.
If my memory is on the shits…I’ll be ticked.
What’s the best strat for Expert No Mercy Finale?
I’m thinking the best place to stand is in the middle of the staircase inside the main building. Two people look in one direction and two people look in another. Smokers are far less of a problem this way, you only have two angles the zombies can come from, you’re still very close to the ammo patch, and you have two escape routes for when the tank comes.
Not sure about other Steam games, but I believe Left 4 Dead has a paged file memory (or something like that) setting? Try lowering that or if it’s low already, put it higher, and see if it works out.

well last night I just was farming achievements and looking for strategic spots for hunter jumps/smoker pulls and survivors spots to avoid getting raped by the horde. now that I got what I wanted I’m ready to get back into campaign to do expert.
