5 A.M. here now. I’ll hit you up tomorrow if you’re on, so we can do the other episodes on expert or go for some achievements. Will message some of you randomly to see who’s up for some games.
anybody has a good strat for death toll’s finale, I’m out of ideas. Best my crew and I could do was hold down the top floor of the main house with shotties rifles till the tank comes, then it just wallops us around while trying to target out the other boomers/hunters following behind it.
Hide in the rescue closets until you have to fight the tank. Then run outside, own it, repeat, and fight the second tank. Then run to the rescue vehicle.
You playing easy, normal or expert? Just make sure you have assault riffles/auto shotties and plenty of molotovs/pipe bombs.
There should be four of you so you can cover the 4 upstairs doors. We did this and took out all the zombies. The tank came in through the right hand side door. two of you should be able to take care of the tank while the others keep an eye on the stairs.
The hardest part is making your way to the rescue vehicle… use your pipe bombs to distract the zombies.
Another one we did was go upstairs and go to the kid’s bedroom. One person can watch the only window and the other 3 can watch the door. Person at the window usually has an auto shotty and shoves / shoots zombies coming in. Fight the tank outside. Oh… and don’t stand directly in front of the window or you may be dragged out by a smoker, but not likely. Why take the risk… sit to the side and shoot diagonally out.
Is the hunting rifle really that bad?
no, the hunting rifle is the weapon of choice during the finales. also if its distracted, its good against the tank. but thats just me. so drunk right now hehe.
Game keeps crashing on me (freezes, sound looping in the back), turns out I have to disable ‘multi-core rendering’ in the video option.
From what I see rifle is never good in the final rounds. Two shotties and two assaults work best. The rifle is pretty good when maneuvering around certain levels so you can take out infected from further up ahead. But most the time when you use the rifle you want to be at the back and play defensively. Its good to add in the mix, but only at some levels.

GGs with Sonicspear on the Dead Air? finale, that shit was retarded. Fucken gave up on it in expert.
I use a hunting rifle about 85% of the time. Even if they’re up close, just leave it unscoped and put rounds into zombies. It dominates choke points because it’ll go through multiple zombies in a pretty much one-hit, one kill fashion.
It also goes through walls.
M16 goes through walls as well…

I have the retail and I need some help. When I go to install it, it says creating local cache files, but stays there for a while, any hints on what to do.

For anyone who wants to try out the SRK server, it’s up and running, but since I haven’t heard from FullMetalRoss to get that group number the only way to connect to it is through the developers console. It’s set to Versus mode and is completely playable, but directly connecting won’t bring you to the lobby though so to change teams you just gotta press M and choose a side.
