Man. This game is fucking great. I really enjoyed the co-op mode (it’s fairly tough on expert, which is good), but the versus mode completely sold me. It’s a blast. Best zombie game ever, if you ask me.

The game rocks. So far completed No Mercy and Death Toll. Lots of fun! You do need to be careful because sometimes usually in Expert or Advanced settings there will be a TWO witches. That is the biggest bitch in the world. They do so much damage and they take a lot of hits before they go down.
You really need to listen to the sounds of the games. You will usually hear crying / NPC chatter about “I hear a Witch turn off your light!”. Best thing is to avoid them. You can usually see them because of their red eyes and only the tier 2 weapons [ak-47, sniper rifle, auto-shottie] can do enough damage to them… freaking sub machine gun and the ass shotgun doesn’t do SHIT.
Yes the boomer I would say is vital to trying to get kill. I have only played as Infesation with 3 people so I don’t know how the rotations quite work like if it’s possible to have 2 boomers at once. We would always get 1 smoker, 1 hunter and 1 boomer always. Never a double.
Oh yeah the Human side needs to be ALL real players. Because the Human bots are fucking relentless. With the smoker that can crawl on walls, I would be hiding all the way in the ceiling and then… BLAM!!! I got capped. You basically need to wait till they hit a part of the level where there are moderate zombies so that you can send your Hunter player to try to get one of the dudes out so then you can Boomer vomit all of them and use a Smoker to drag someone out of the chaos.
Oh yeah and pray that if you are Infestation that there is a Witch in the safe room. That usually guarantees a kill or an all party-wipe because they cannot go inside without scaring the bitch.

Text clues like [Incoming Attack] signifying the musical cue for the Horde and [Tank Growl] while he’s three damn rooms away (and is otherwise inaudible) are a GODSEND.

Picked this up yesterday on 360, loved the demo. The full game feels alot tougher for some reason, maybe because i’m not playing with friends.

Boomers end games a lot more often then Smokers and Hunters. But there is deep satisfaction watching someone get hung from a building or torn apart on the ground.
A smoker on top of a roof with a lot of buildings is too good. Plus smokers can kill someone so easy when survivors get distracted by a tank or hunter.
I want to go through any campaign besides “No Mercy” on expert, anyone that’s down send me a fr or a message.

I’m starting to believe forgenjuro when he said it took him and his buddies 7 1/2 hours to beat no mercy on expert. I came back with an incomplete attempt with other srk’ers, I wonder if they persevered to the end. I still want to complete all 4 campaigns on expert as an overall goal for this game. When I play multiplayer it’s obvious that we all want to be the infected since we played so much campaign as survivors…
