I was reading this thread and i saw this Deadfrog question:
And i think that this somewhat deserves a thread, i mean… Bushido Blade! what an absolutely good game without some type of official thread in SRK.
There was a competitive scene on Bushido? Bushido was some of those games who everybody knows but never plays it with friends or in a party.
I always find that the first one was better… i dont know why, just for “feeling” issues.
By the way i always read a lot of comments about “we want a new Bushido Blade game” but as far as i know there IS a real spiritual sequel to Bushido and thats is the “Kengo” series, i never played any of those Kengo games but i heard that they were made it by the same people who originally worked on Bushido in Squaresoft.
Throwing dirt did make you “un-bushido” in singleplayer though, if I remember correctly? That and things like attacking the back or attacking someone while climbing.
I also prefered the first one, but can’t really say why either. It’s weird, I wanted to like 2 more, since it has more “stuff”.
Fuck man… Bushdio Blade is so AWESOME!! I still have a copy of Bushido Blade 2. I prefer Bushido Blade 1 though because it seemed more realistic. In 2 you couldn’t harm someones legs like you could in 1. My fave character was Utsuemi.
It truely is a unique game. And it was such a bitch to beat story mode sometimes! Can’t attack them on ground, while they’re turned away, on a ladder, can’t throw dust, can’t throw your weapon… do any of those and its auto-game over lol.
They def. need to make a new Bushido Blade with awesome graphics.
