Edit: Whoa didn’t even see that last post.
No, but a lot of the laws that land you in jail for defending your livelihood dictate that you have to run away and or avoid the situation and even if you where forced to defend yourself because you feared for you life.
in short, liberals make laws that make it impossible to defend yourself and create this propaganda where if you do you are an asshole fit only for jail because you weren’t rational.\
Which then spawns kids like Malcom and Buggyman
I read it, but I didnt see any point where I could condone a child killing another child.
But ok. I’ll let you have your moment in the spotlight today.
It’s not just liberals who makes those laws. Plenty of conservative-types equate more jail with safer societies. In fact, in my own experience, it’s the latter that happens waaaaaaaaaaay more often.

Shit happens, be it 13 stabbings or just 1 that pierced the heart, all you can do is try to prevent that shit from your own kids. But with how the world is, it’s unfortunately not going to be the last time something like this will happen.
the excellent quality Italian made BladeTech Profili…$150…probably the best tactical folder with a 4 inch blade for self defense…good thumb ramp and finger choil so your own hand does not ride up onto the blade when thrusting wildly and puncturing scumbags…

i really hope you mean that last sentence, because a lot of people are naive as hell to their own kids. “oh he would never!” im sorry but if my kid is an asshole they are an asshole and i am gonna beat that ass. i wont be embarrassed by some snot nosed little shit
You bet your ass I mean it, my parents raised me the same way and I’m going to do the same with my kids as well, for the sake of not having the lessons learned from this tragedy go to waste.
stop saying this, you sound stupid. if you catch any of my posts in the more political thread i’m as liberal as they come, and persnoally nuno got what he fucking deserved.
The question is do you condone a child stabbing another child at any point? The bully only died as a result of being stabbed.
So to everyone who thinks he should be prosecuted, do you then not believe in this Florida law? “A person who is not engaged in unlawful activity and who is attacked in any other place that he or she has a right to be has no duty to retreat and has a right to stand their ground and meet force with force, including deadly force, if he or she reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm to themselves or another or to prevent the commission of a felony”. Or an exact copy of the law with the “no duty to retreat” clause taken out so they actually have to try and get away.
Not in Kalifonia. In Kali, republicans jail people for smoking weed or killing other gang members. While the democrats jail you for defending yourself or shooting somebody who has invaded your house. both wacky people if you ask me.
there is progressive, and then there is annoying liberal yuppie. The political spectrum isn’t just one shade of shit green where you stick everybody. You should be smart enough to know this.
the no duty to retreat is what makes this law great. That single phrase gives me the right to defend myself. If that clause is not in the law, then a lot of people who use this law in their defense would go to jail, the reasoning being that they had the option to run, therefore they should have ran further/more. If that phrase isn’t there, then it becomes a game of philosophical chairs and people who have no business going to jail, end up in jail.
Well I feel like if the child had no other means to defend himself other than stabbing the other kid then go for it…only the kid stabbed the other kid what was it…20-something times? Come on now.
Self defense I’m all for that. But at the same time the mentality of thinking you’re justified to use deadly force on someone who is bullying you isnt rational thinking.
I remember the few times I have been bullied. I told someone. Hell, I told everyone. Maybe I’m not understanding something. Did he go to teachers and parents? Did people know this was going on?
It sounds like the mother and the police knew about the bullying but the school didn’t.
But again it doesn’t matter, the real question is do you believe in
and if you do, do you think the kid acted in accordance with the law. Bullying, who the people were, who knew about past events and such are all completely irrelevant. The question isn’t was nuno a monster and a jackass and Jorge a hero standing up to a bully, or if Jorge was just some kid who took bullying to hard and snapped or anything. The question is, is the self defense law acceptable, and did his actions follow that law. If both those are true how can you possibly judge him? If not, where did he or the law go wrong?
SPECS.
In my mind, absolutely. The way our freedom and constitutional rights were explained to me in my HS government class, and the way that makes sense to me, that we have a right to do what we want (in theory, so don’t over-exert yourself to prove me wrong by saying, “well I can’t legally smoke pot”) as long as our rights do not infringe on the same rights granted to someone else. So you haul off and hit someone else just walking down the street. You have infringed on his rights. He didn’t want to be hit. He just wanted to walk down the street. You impeded both what he was doing, and what he didn’t want to do. You have rescinded your rights by forcing yours on someone else, and can at that point be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
The same goes here. Jorge did NOT want to fight. He was in his rights to get off the bus and get away. Nuno infringed on those rights, and forced his rights upon Jorge. At that point, he has rescinded his own rights, and can be punished by the fullest extent of the law, which in this case, stated that someone who was attacked could act in self-defense up to death.
The only other argument could be if Jorge had a right to carry a concealed weapon, but that would be dependent on Florida law, which I don’t know.
Man, who cares what the law says.
When I was in my late teens, I saw a kid in his early teens knocked out a couple other kids then proceeded to put a bag over another kid. When the kid started losing consciousness I dashed over and threw the bully (it was on mid-height grass and he only flew around 15 feet and I launched him low horizontally to the ground so there was almost no impact). He would constantly bully and physically damage other children every day and no parents nor authority figure was capable of stopping him so I decided to step in because watching his actions after a month made me want to throw up. A couple moments later the bully runs with his mom who starts screaming at me before she even got close to me and saying she would call the cops and went on and on. I looked her in the eyes and she instantly shut up and I told her I better not see her son touch anyone ever again. I walked away and the mother and bully went home. She never called the cops and the bully didn’t bully anyone that entire Summer. Unfortunately I wasn’t there the year after so that bully put someone in the hospital.
Laws are supposed to be based on ethics/morals. Some laws should not exist in the form that they do now. I wanted to become a police officer when I was a kid but after seeing the corruption of the NYPD I changed my mind (before my teens I saw cops selling drugs to my sister, a cop stopping a girl who he thought was part of a gang and then touching her in inappropriate ways, and that’s just the start). Anyways, if I was a cop and some higher-up told me to shoot someone innocent, I wouldn’t do it even if it was the law. Our military methodology is to remove the human aspects and to create obedient robots and it’s no surprise that when these “people” have kids the kids usually end up being bullies.
Don’t let laws make you forget how to be human.
I’m not saying uphold the law at all times regardless of anything, I’m trying to see where the people who think the kid should be punished disagree with the courts systems. If they think the law itself is wrong that’s a perfectly acceptable answer to me(at least if they back it up). I personally believe in following the law(or at least the spirit of the law) and if you don’t agree with the laws work towards changing 'em, or break 'em and be prepared for the consequences(if they come).
Isn’t 12 stabs a little excessive for self-defense?
