Hmm. I did martial arts. I always tried to not be put in situation where i would fight. The guys picking on me were always smaller mouthy guys. Being a fat kid with glasses and one of the only asian guys. The taunting and shit was meh. Insults aren’t really that big of a deal to me.
Now getting into a fight is eh. They come at you, and it is either fight or flight. So your first instinct isn’t to charge it’s to kick and run becuase you don’t want to fight.
Some kids are pussies who can’t defend themselves, some kids are dicks who fuck with the pussies. Then you have assoles
Seriously kids looking for a fight are unhappy, and have social problems
Kids that can’t defend themselves instead of getting a police escort, should get training from police and in how to react in this situation and get physical training
The kid wouldn’t need the knife if he hadn’t been bullied. After a certain point you just can’t take it anymore, and teachers never do a damn thing about it.
Yeah that was what was confusing me about this whole topic. That fact that everyone was going off a hearsay thinking that the bullies knew he had a knife, called his bluff and got what was coming to them. All the article says is that he showed two teens the knife before the fight that afternoon, not the bullies. Now it actually makes sense again. And Nissan, I’m going to ignore the fact you’re choosing to not answer my question on the count that you’re somewhat neutral on this issue also. I find it hard to defend either sides because neither is completely right.
Either that or you only want your argument heard in a two-way argument.
It only takes one cut to be fatal. Nick a vital blood vessel, such as the brachial artery, and you’re pretty much fucked.
He was “stabbed” twelve times, two of which were fatal blows. This doesn’t NECESSARILY mean the kick started shanking the guy like a prison inmate. Could have definitely happened if they were scuffling, sure. If you’ve ever been to an ER, half the “stabs” that get reported are simple nicks. This doesn’t make the kid a psychopath. It doesn’t make it murder.
Yeah, it kind of is. Perhaps it’s not a shame that most people haven’t had to inflict serious wounds on someone - but it’s a damn shame that next to nobody in the world knows what’s it like to experience a physical confrontation.
Unless it’s found in public records regarding the case, I could be totally wrong in siding on that.
I don’t think the bully had to die either, but I do think standing up for himself was called for, even if he had to resort to a knife as an equalizer.
Nissan - When they do, it’s not enough. It’s usually a slap on the wrist, and more often than not, it was a slap on the wrist, and they just become more stealth in their actions after the terms of their punishment are up. And usually more severe.
But you know why kids could relate to movies like Angus? Because what happens there is true. The teachers and administrators usually only see one side, or just ignore the actions of the bully due to popularity, social status, their family’s community pull, or just complete and total apathy to the whole situation. Then the one time that justice really gets served is when the bully gets put down by the kid they’re bullying in a public venue where either the media or the community forces their hand.
again, you’re assuming. And nobody in this topic is saying he’s a psychopath or murderer. I said murder before, but I refuted that statement and apologized, because I actually meant killer. Because that fits the description more accurately. He got away with killing, not murdering. No side is right in this matter.
Getting fucked in the ass isn’t life threatening silly. Being attacked by 3 guys is. At least until the other 2 shit on themselves after you use their buddy as a knife block. I can feel for this kid though, if you’re not given a lot of alternatives to going through mental and physical pain you will do what you have to, to avoid it. People who are bullied are generally terrified of the bullying. So Bullys, if you back someone into a corner get ready for them to fight back like theres no way out but through you. If you’re lucky, they just can’t fight and you can potentially inflict permanent physical and mental scarring. Some victims however KNOW THEY CAN’T fight, have no love for you, and will FUCKING KILL YOU.
I was in a similar situation in school before I told myself that being above fighting was just arrogance and cowardice. If it’s war they want, give them war. I jumped my bully from behind and threw him down the steps. I then went to get the school nurse. The way you deal with bullys is to fight back and build a social network of friends. Yes, I’m saying gang warfare is the best alternative to bullying. Then instead of one kid getting killed, the fucking lot of them can butcher each other.
If you mean the whole case with the story of the baseball bat there is a big difference in that story and this current situation. You admitted to meeting the guy and his brother and brought the bat, where im much more inclined to say that killing him their isnt nearly as acceptable because the fight seems mutual. You werent running away from them to try and avoid the confrontation first.
Im not that netural, I think the kid in his situation has every right to stab if he thinks his life is in serious threat. The bully was way too persistent and wouldnt fuck off when the signs CLEARLY indicated the kid wanted no part in an altercation. Sorry it happened, but dont expect minor consequences when you are doing something such as bullying, which is entirely sadistic and fucked up to begin with.
Meeting them? I came prepared each time I went to the park. Who mutually goes up to a gang of people and says “hey man, you can kick my ass whenever you want buddy, but I’m going to use this bat when the time comes alright?” If I saw them, I’d go a different route etc. but by meeting, eventually they saw me and I had no intention of running. I had a metal bat yo.
Yes, they are. Yourself excluded, because you did retract your accusation. People are acting like to stab someone twelve times requires pre-meditation or calculated thought. It doesn’t.
No side is right in the matter, agreed. There are other less-lethal or non-lethal options available, but hey, all the kid had was a knife.
Fuck, I WISH I could have a knife, or SOMETHING to defend myself with, when I’m not working. Off duty, I live in a country where I’m FORCED to defend myself unarmed. No guns except for sporting, knives are illegal unless they’re sheathed and almost inaccessible on your person. Kubotans or impact weapons are banned, pepper spray is banned - I wish I had half the options for defending myself that the US does. It’s never pretty when you have to, but be thankful your country even allows you to protect yourself.
So I see theory fighter is being used in real life situations now smh.
Also well technically once the bully punched him he was using a deadly weapon.
I remember that thread from last year about that SRK member for beating a man and because he had some training in martial arts his fist counted as a deadly weapon.
Anyways he was in a state of panic because come on now it was three guys it could have ended like that one hispanic teenager who got jumped by some white teenagers and they beat him and followed it up by sodomizing him with a pole.
