If you want a good Kobun team, Omega Red/Kobun/Tron works pretty well, cuz OR gets 5 bars in no time and can evilly cross over with Tron (via omega strike), and then Tron pin-down + Kobun with 5 bars = death. But that’s beside the point.
I like the idea of a Buffest Sentinel tourney. If people can set rules, I’m willing to run a Buffest Sentinel bonus tourney at some point.
When vitally drinks a lot of VOdka, he has the flame of mother Russia in his eys and has the buffest sent in Eugene. Other than that all he does is F.K cap assist all day. I don’t think he plays anymore.
** wow just browsing through this thread is giving me a fucking headache…too many words about one topic…i would say something but my sentinel in the words of richard AKA “DIIIIIIIICK” -IT SUCKS COOOOOOOOOOOOOCK!!! (if you know what i am referring to give yourself 2 points and a gold star and a smiley face for the kindergarden throw back shit)
 u can't be serious, after you got more then your feelings hurt this last tournament, The name sentinal shouldn't come out your mouth, When you and phongsac played each other, Phongsac's sentinal dominated yours. I can still c stomp prints on top of your head from it. U may have won the match but his sentinal did own you his sentinals vs yours. but either way its still a dumb convo on who has a better sent. And since when was 2nd place a bunch of times in the tilt domination on a scene. that sounds kind of suspect 2 me.:bluu:
Uh, his Sentinel wasn’t on point against mine for more than 20 seconds total, tops, out of all three games. It was a best-of-five, he knew what I was going to be using (BH/Sent/Commando) and he chose to take Storm/Sent/stuff (Cammy in game 1, Doom in games 2 and 3) against it. In a tournament setting, my playbook for my team against Storm/Sent is to start Sentinel and not care whether they start Storm or Sentinel themselves. He chose to start Storm on Sentinel in all three games, which meant that my Sentinel’s assignment was to tear up his Storm and his Sentinel’s assignment was, depending on how the Sent v. Storm matchup went, to either try to tear my BH up in return or avoid letting my BH come back.
Breaking it down game by game:
Game 1, my Sentinel went a little better than even on his Storm. It went to a game of chicken as to who was going to bail their first char out first; he did, and his Sentinel briefly saw some time on mine before I also got mine out for BH. BH then basically won the game. Verdict: My Sentinel opened up respectably, his lost the whole game in the middle stages against BH.
Game 2, my Sentinel, in simple terms, tore him up, bad. By the time BH saw any point action at all he didn’t have a single char on his team with more than 30% lifebar. His Sentinel accomplished basically nothing along the way and BH closed it out. Verdict: My Sentinel dominated, his accomplished basically nothing.
Game 3, my Sentinel got caught up in way too many Doom rocks to get much of anywhere, and BH got a bit earlier of a showing than I would’ve wanted. However, BH, then proceeded to go and tear apart his whole team by himself, Sentinel included. His Sentinel spent most of this game sitting in the corner with BH bouncing all over him, getting killed off and eventually my Sentinel came back after BH pulled my DHC on one of his other two. I forget if it was Storm or Doom. Verdict: Yeah, my Sentinel didn’t accomplish a lot, but I kept him alive for the DHC, while his blew a rather commanding lead.
How exactly you translate anything his Sentinel did at any point of this match as “dominating” is quite beyond my understanding. I’ve got nothing against Phongsack here over this… he’s at least got the dignity to realize he’s in no position to say a whole lot right now after a 3-0 blowout. For your part, this is like coming back to a fan of a football team that’s just shut your favorite guys out, with a line like “Oh yeah! Your team may have won the game, but our PUNTER owned yours!”
I’m not real happy with how that finished, no… but as I said earlier, it’s Brian’s Cable that was the deciding factor in the end, not his Sentinel. I reiterate: Brian’s got the best Cable in Portland. I used to be able to out-Cable him, but since I stopped playing Cable as much in favor of BH to deal with all the rushdown peeps, that’s changed dramatically. The trick for me is, I’m no longer in good enough Cable practice to mirror match that shit, and if I gameplan something else to try to kill his Cable, his Sentinel usually runs just enough interference that the plan somehow chokes up. Strider/Cable/Doom probably wasn’t a bad idea, but I didn’t stay with it after losing game 3, even though I’d won game 2 with the same team. I need to do one of three things to turn this around:
Solve the Strider v. Sentinel matchup with Strider/Cable/Doom.
Get my own Cable/Sent/Commando into better practice to stare down his in the mirror match.
Get past the mental block I have against using BH/Sent/Commando against his Team Scrub and stare down his Cable the way I do everyone else’s who tries it against me. It’s my best team overall, but Brian’s Cable is one of the few things I really fear putting that team against. It might do me some good to fix that if nothing else is going to work.
im not going 2 bother quoteing your long and “awkward” essay. All im saying is what i saw and what other ppl saw. I don’t disagree about you won the match, But i don’t think phongsac isn’t saying anything because he got blowen out, maybe because he has ppl like me who saw the match and seen both sentinals and compared. i watched your guys matches and im wondering how you won cause u obviously weren’t watching what every one else is watching… all honesty your sentinal can’t hang with his PERIOD. I got no beff with you here or there its just what i saw. Plus the fact i never saw phongsac’s sentinal get beasted by a fucking KEN. Haven’t you noticed nobody really backing your statements on your sentinal neither here or in public… Common man your a good player and all but you just not that good as YOU think you are with Sent. Period end of CONVO
P.S. my punter can kick your punters ass so there:D
