Jug, just gonna echo everyone else pretty much. If you can afford over $8k then go for a new car. If you buy used always keep these factors in mind first and foremost.
- Look at the region this car is from, if it is local, be weary of it’s undercarriage condition. The winter, salt and humid weather up here take their toll fast on exposed parts under your car, the primary example being your exhaust system, brake system and tie rods/ball joints. They will corrode quickly and probably need looked at before 50k miles.
-over 50k miles, you will be looking to put about $3000 into the car via repairs and replacements over the next 2 years
-Pre-2001, means the car will likely have horrible emissions and gas milage by todays standards. The fuel efficiency standards were drastically revamped in 2002. Meaning anything you get over 4-cylinder is gonna be gasaholic, as well as shoddy filters and fan systems meaning you will constantly have to replace them to pass inspection at $75 a pop+ labor.
- Pre-1998, check the wheel size and diameter. There are 5 wheel sizes and rim sizes that no longer exist after that year, meaning if it has one of those odd ass fitting sockets you will have to pay a premium to replace your wheels. Though this is not a huge factor, since the wheels can still be bought, but they are usually special order, take time to get plus cost about an extra $25-70 a tire.
-If you buy used from a dealer, they WILL have a repair history on the car, obtain it and have someone who knows what they afre doing look at it, to see if that car is worth your while.

Things like manual instead of automatic, manual windows/doors instead of powered, and no AC.
Sucks to not have those things, but at the same time remember about 4 grand in a car’s price, is those 3 things alone, so if you don’t care about them, it’s not really shitty anymore. You can also always add them later/aftermarket if you have the money and feel the need.

One last thing I was thinking is whatever happened to that other Buffalo crew? No one ended up playing them right? Maybe we should contact them to invite them to this thing? Could be a good neutral ground to meet them at, and it would make things a little more interesting. Any thoughts? Kyle, can you still get a hold of them?
