also, from watching the stream yesterday…juri looks NASTY…T Hawk looks like a souped up Gief that won’t have as much trouble with shotos as well. Deejay was lackluster, as was Makoto. Whenever anyone played against Makoto and rushed her down she couldnt do shit to stop them.
Yeah. I’m a little worried for makoto. But it doesn’t matter too much to me if she’s a little difficult. I’m confident that there has to be some part of her play that’s competitive.

doubt anyone knows how to play a good defense that consists of using the right normals/reversals/etc in right situations with a brand new character / new engine for that character. took me forever to establish that with viper and it’s STILL shaky at best aka my defense sucks. take all this ssf4 stream/coverage with a grain of salt till the game is actually in your hands and see what you can come up with. no one can play a random character less than a day and expect to play @ full capabilities.
- isn’t that how she was like in 3rd strike? she had to be on offense most of the time to expect to win. a little bit like viper’s style of play. momentum is a huge factor for these type of characters, something most people are not used to [ they suck at first adapting to this style, 'cause it consists of guessing right with reversals most of the time to stop their momentum ]. speaking from experience haha

i’ll try it. i liked cvs2 until ppl mastered roll canceling and the game degrades to tier whoring. loved the system and selection though.
