I feel like watching Blade Runner now… gah.
Although I’m not the biggest Bryan fan or most knowledgeable about him, I’m really digging his characterization in this game. Whether or not it’s exactly accurate to his Tekken counterpart I’m not sure of, but I still dig it nonetheless. Although I do agree his voice doesn’t really fit but I do like the laugh, the japanese laugh is even better.
bryans mid kick to rush/ gattling combination has a third option not in the moves list. you can cancel the third hit(lp) into mach breaker(ff+mp), otherwise the string cant be canceled into specials. the mach breaker hits in a few juggles where the other two wont.
Anybody else finding linking his one two body blow (lp-mp-lp) after double back fist (hp-lp) pretty strict in timing? I can’t yet hit it consistently.

Going to start trying to figure out Bryan’s frame data when I get home. Seems he’s getting a little less attention than Lars (my other character of interest) so I’ll show Roy Batty some love.
God he looks great. When I get home I’m going into the lab. I really want to play Bryan/Hugo for team bruiser but I’m afraid of that online hadouken hadouken hadouken hadouken.
What are Bryan’s options against zoning?

As much as I hate Hugo, Bryan is a great ally to grapplers, it seems. Back-turn is the only type of hit stun you can grab out of, and qcb+hp puts them in enough back turn for you to run in and combo.
quick note, Bryan can actually kara throw off standing MK. In a game where throw range is such fucking ass, this is huge!
Yeah, his kara game is actually pretty interesting. Gonna play around with it a bit more, but definitely a plus. I do think the patch has removed almost all restand properties, as I can’t replicate that combo video off the tag. What it DOES do is place the opponent in a direct fall down similar to the Lili divekick tech off a ground bounce. What this could mean is having your partner tag in off that and do a move -> EX CADC/CADC. Maybe there’s enough time to go for a dash under or something, but there’s possibilities in that tech.
I hate shortcuts btw. So crappy that Mach Breaker can be misread as a Fisherman’s Slam if you’re not precise with it. Oh well, just gotta fine tune my execution. Anybody got any combos for our madman solo (or off a tag-in/launcher)?
Bryan seems fun. But my god does he look stupid sometimes. As long as the camera is far away it’s fine… I avoid using his super.

what are people doing off of bryans abcd tag in? So far I’ve been doing fishhook, c.mk, mach punch. Seems a bit inconsistent
I’ve been having trouble getting the Mach Punch to hit as well off of that. Still in training with the madman, going to see what I can find over the next few days.
Do you think Bryan is a meter burner aka the chara that has to use meter to be super effective?
Discovered something cool with Bryan’s target combo, Gatling Combination. If you tag cancel the last hit of the target combo and quickly hit them with a fast attack, they will “pop up” and land standing. This is like what happens in SSF4 in juggles.
This sets up really good reset opportunities, you can go low or high. Let’s take Dudley for example, if he does cr.lk - lk duck, he passes under the opponent and crosses them up.
I remember seeing a video by I think “Neomagnus” that shows a restand from this exact same scenario. This must have been a rebalancing effort by Capcom getting rid of all restand combos.
