Maybe it’s old news, but has anyone messed around with Ammy’s cherry bomb wall bounce? It’s supposed to happen when you down+S in an air combo to switch in a new character.
I’ve found a trick though, that if you j.s for ground bounce, then do df+h with the Glaive and as soon as the move connects you hit down+s then the cherry bomb animation happens and it causes wall bounce, but Ammy doesn’t switch it. It’s entirely comboable afterwards and it seems rather consistent, as I did it about 4 times against a friend last night.
Explain how you can get over 710,000(950,000 with lvl3) damage in reflector stance and I might believe you. Glaive stance has her only OTG move, allowing her to combo after okami shuffle with another okami shuffle or her level3, for even more damage.
Yeah, this wiff d+S technique is in the final combo in the MvC3 strategy guide. The end of the combo involves the launch > j.S > df+H > d+S > launch > j.S > df+H > d+S > launch > df+H > d+S > slowdown super, then neutral jump H(hold) 4x, then okami shuffle super. The part I’ve been unable to do is the final wiff d+S > slowdown super > neutral jump H(hold). The d+S explosion doesn’t seem to bring them up high enough so I can juggle with the neutral jump H(hold).
Wow what are the numbers for the reflector? Gotta get my hands on that guide. If i got them to the corner i could call out a MODOK shield assist and keep them there until they die pretty much
Wow, that’s officially the easiest possible way to get in since i use trish. I can just use ammys bloom with trish on point, wait for 5 bars, use that and then use the reflector to create insane pressure. Could probably even use the slowing special once i got ammy in.
Maybe…i could sub ammy in, switch to glaive, special, rush toward him with a jumping hard, call out deadpool’s low hitting assist. Wow crazy possibilities
Refer to the round trip special trick I stated above. Maybe your can work with it.
Standing and Crouching H is +2 on block Forward H is -3 but if you couple that with a good assist, that should save yourself from a good bit of stuff. Their recovery is straight ass though, so don’t get blown up from a push block.
I use the same exact team as well. What i do when Viper and Trish have been knocked out is i switch to Rosary and start zoning with Cold star then switch back to her standard weapon and use her Super so i can get chip and repeat it. If this doesn’t work i just try to go into a head to head combat.
some of yall are holding back on the good stuff. Day 3 of the game for me and its like night and day from Day 1. Aside from my lose streak and win streak being almost 50% from the number of shitty connections I’ve had so far I was however able to find some really interesting shit with Amaterasu.
Glaive works a LOT like Dhalsim’s slide for characters that like to rain on top of you. I basically crippled this Ironman who had a strategy going where he would call beam assist to push me out while he did jumping smart bombs. I started to dash in, block the assist and wait for him to fall. To a greater extent if youre feeling risky xx :qcf::l: covers a lot more space. I got hit with a deep crossup from Zero after the charge I wouldnt SPAM it, but its like a poke and a 3/4 screen dash in one.
Glaive :h: xx paper. This is the sexiest shit in the world. I was already using regular H to zone but its a little open on whiff, until you cancel this into paper. They cant do a fucking thing. I already have Trish for Trap, but im sure this would be just as nasty with Sent drones. Just in case someone gets the idea later on to anti- this strategy with a teleport.
The rest is just a lot of random stuff I cant really put a real use to. Glaive df+:h: xx :qcf::s: can be tiger knee input, either together or separate.
Rosary isnt as long as it looks and after whiff youre dead meat unless you’ve already scared them into backing off. If she had cold star in a different stance Ammy would be extremely scary.
Right now im working on some strings that involve stance switching. Glaive :h: xx :d::d::h: xx cold star xx :d::d: is interesting. I’m thinking there are some ways to get the most of of cold star but stay in reflector/glaive most of the time. I need to find some more shit like this.
Well, there’s some decent Ammy footage in that video I posted, I guess.
Also, found out she has a reset on the corner.
Do the standard ABCCCCCCD, sj, BBCCC combo, but instead of finishing with Okami Shuffle, do Light Head Charge (qcf+A). It will push you forward enough and reset the opponent, opening up for a throw. Combo from there.
I’ve been scrubbing it up in training mode for awhile practicing this bnb combo: :l::h::f::h::h::h::h::h::s::h::h::h: into Okami Shuffle
but the last :h: cancelled into the super just doesn’t connect sometimes. I figure it’s because I’m doing it too slow, but even when paying extra attention to cancel as fast as possible it can still whiff; the flames come out but the training dummy just blocks and drops to the ground. What gives? What the hell am I doing wrong?
On the other hand I never miss if I weapon change into the glaive before launching and doing the :df::h: into :qcf::s: xx super, so I’ve taken to doing that as much as possible instead.
that combo you are doing is very high on hitstun scaling, thats why its hard to connect super… you have very little hitstun left. shorten the combo by taking out the air L and one of the M’s and maybe an H to boot and it should be alot easier, and your damage shouldnt be hit too hard cause its in the end of the scaling tree.
