hey guys⌠did some testing on the 1.5 Beta firmware update. Brook claimed they made some improvements on the input latency on the ps3/ps4 so i had to put it to the test. Did a rough comparison between version 1.4, version 1.5, and the PS360+ running on PS4 forced mode. They also implemented the WiiU support on this update (hold down 1K) however i do not have a WiiU currently to test. They are also working on a way to swap between DP, LS, RS with a command as well. Brook is still testing and tweaking this update and will release it soon via their site! Enjoy.

In update 1.3 the functionality was added⌠TP key outputs SELECT function on PS3/360/XB1
What does the share button do in this case⌠nothing?
The share button functions as select in Xbox 360/One/PS3 as thatâs the original select button. It will always function as the original select button. So both buttons will give the same input (I believe thatâs button #7).
Only on PS4 will they be linked differently.
Note: The original Select button is required to update the firmware because the MCU (hard coded firmware) requires Home+Select held down on USB initialization for Update mode.
Since no one cares about the Share feature anyway, what you can do is, if you hooked up the existing select sanwa/seimitsu/Hori button to TPKey, just re-wire it to Select (depending on if your original select button has quick disconnects or is part of a panel button PCB) or screw a stripped wire into the select terminal and hook it up for firmware updates, then when done, hook up TPKey again.
My PS3 fightstick pro body only has a start and select button, with home being part of the original PCB. My options to have start, select/TP and home were to solder (tried and failed), just not have a select key, or drill a new button into the case. I did the latter, but it wouldnât be an issue with a home macro. Gonna have a hard time convincing people in similar situations to drop money on it, too.
You donât always have to solder. If your controller consists of two PCBâs that are connected to each other by ribbon cables with a JST type connector, e.g. a âdummyâ Turbo panel thatâs common ground (usually with the Home and Turbo buttons and LEDâs) and a main âBrainâ PCB controller board which it connects to, then you can buy insulated jumper blocks, wires and crimps and just crimp the pins on the turbo PCB and attach the other end to the Brook PCB. This is even easier if your Brook is presoldered (e.g. the one from PAS).
Some panels have kits you can buy to make it plug and play, from Jasen, e.g. VLX Premium RAP 4, Madcatz TE2 (with a TE2+ version coming), etc.
