Brook Universal Fighting Board Thread

Can you force 360 mode on PC?

Can you force PS3 mode for Dinput?

Can you force stick = dpad only / stick = analog only / stick = both on PC?

Can I switch between L+R=N, L+R=most recent, and similar things for U+D without flashing the firmware each time I want to switch?

As of now not yet. However @“GOGO.Zippy” from Brook is closely monitoring this thread and is taking note of all the requests. Forced modes via a command seem to be the top request.

It’s important for a number of people. If you’re able to force 360 or PS3 mode, then I’m sure you would be able to get it working on that consolised version of ST (not sure of the technical term y’all know what I mean :P)

I’m excited, after playing sfv beta last night on my ps4 pad I was getting anxious looking at my stick on the floor not being able to use it. Now that I have both products coming my nightmare of buy a next gen Fightstick is over … Thank you for your hard work , all of you involved

Looking at the diagram the touch pad button is touch pad key so that still would need to be soldered if I want to use it with a button? Fighting games on the PS4 use the touchpad button more than the select/share button? select/share useful for anything for fighting games if I never plan to use the share feature?

Yes

For this sucker, I haven’t seen it posted yet, but need to ask, maybe they can make something like this in the near future:

I would love to see an add-on board for doing headset support for X360/Xbone/PS4. I probably won’t get to use this as much anymore when I’m going to play SF5 on PC, but the times when I do get on my 360, this would be a wonderful feature to have.

I thought the same, but you probably will want the select/share button wired up too, as holding that button is currently required for updating the firmware on the PS3/4 Fighting Board and could well be the same with this.

on the original brook board I wired up the touch key to my L1 button (along with L1 being wired) since i use the 6 button layout it doesnt get in the way of anything and if i need to use L1 for menu’s it doesnt affect it in anyway

Second this, I still use a TE 1 with a headset jack.

Here are some details on the SOCD Cleaner direct from Brook:

U+D = U

L+R = X (no output)

Saw this a few days ago. Looks great.

Except I just put a ps360+ board in about 6 months ago :<

Thanks for the testing info Jasen.

so throw that shit out and replace it with a better board lol

Is the Xbone mode recognized as an “Xbox One controller” or as an “accessory?” It’s a super minor usecase, but the console won’t recognize most sticks while in backwards-compatibility mode because of this.

On my PC it was an XBOX ONE controller. I have had 0 issues using it on my XBOne during the period I tested it. Worked fine in the menu and in KI.

Just wondering, have you tested this yet, and if it doesn’t work any idea of what the simplest workaround would be? Playing ST on my hitbox via emulator feels amazing, but whenever I go to play it offline we play on arcade board.

On a related note, I know the 3S fight club guys use a CPS3 Supergun cab that apparently does have a USB input for people to use their own sticks/pads, I’m guessing this is incompatible with the new Brook PCB as well?

Thanks for any advice, I’ll probably get one because it satisfies a lot of my needs for what I want to hook my hitbox up to, but there’s a few edge use cases I also have too.

This week! I have an ADCAP on the bench for a customer now. Just waiting on my restock of extensions to try it out.

If the SuperGun has USB, I’ll bet a buck it has UD-USB inside.

which input?

I don’t recall. I seem to remember it being one of the directionals and one of the buttons. I just swapped it over to PS3 mode and unplugged/plugged it in again to fix it. When I test the Brook Board with the ADCAP I will test it again to see.
