OK, I need to know if anyone else is having this issue. I’m getting the 8 min timeout on the PS4. Thing is, it’s not on my PS4, it happened on another PS4 at a casual I went to tonight. I’m trying to update but it won’t take, even though the light is lit on the UFB and I’m following the directions exactly. I have Win10 on my laptop. I even disabled my Norton Anti virus just to see if that worked (it didn’t), any ideas guys?
@Alecmartiza thanks, I was just asking for a solution not just for me as @Vicko says. As I told before, this was the norm in those years when MAME and emus were beginning to appear, so I was just asking for that layout not just for me, but it seems that nobody else is using that configuration anymore.
I’m not being selfish, about the Xbox using XInput I like it and I use it not the standard one but a very similar one, and as PC only use I was liking the idea as Direct Input (not PSX) that what I mention before but it seems that nobody is using emus anymore.
Let’s say it in other words, PS360+ has PS1 and Dream Cast and Sega Saturn, well so think about the same about this Legacy Direct Input mode I was mentioning, is like a “Retro” configuration.
Just my 2 cents if nobody like the Idea well, at least I gave you my opinion why I liked that configuration layout because is more natural to me.
I ran the updater on my Brooks Universal board this morning (from my Mac) and everything looked perfect according to the instructions. However, I am still getting the 8 minute timeout on my PS4. Any ideas what’s up?
OK, this is just about pissing me off. Anti Virus is off, I’m the administrator, I’m not using an USB combo jack and I’m following the damn instructions. I figured out why it didn’t happen on my PS4, I hadn’t updated to firmware version 3.50 yet. That’s why it still works there but it won’t work anywhere else with an updated system. This is boo boo sauce. Anybody got any ideas? It’s the weekend so I figure the Brooks guys won’t get to my email till Monday but this issue is bugging the hell out of me.
Can I split the Brook UFB usb signal (output) in to 2?
One end go to a neutrik usb which go to a console and the other end go to a raspberry pi usb.
I will build an arcade stick with integrated raspberry pi.
And of course will not be using both at the same time, I just want it to be connected to both at the same time. In case I want to play with the pi instead of a console I just turn on the pi and the Brook UFB will be already connected to it.
Is this possible? Split the signal? What cable do I need to use?
Thanks
Worked on mine with VMWare (virtualization software) running an old Win7 copy under OS 10.9. (On a hackintosh but doesn’t make a difference) Im actually surprised it all went so swiftly.
