first put some solder on the end of the copper wire (like how to dip something in a sauce), then just use the soldering iron to solder the wire on that point. In this way you wont damage any points and wont smear solder all over the place.
Hi guys I got a question, Iām interesting on installing the Player leds on my already ordered Brook UFB so I would like to know if I can use 3mm leds directly or do I need a resistance for each of the 4 leds?
By the way Iām upgrading from a PS360+ that unfortunately doesnāt works as XInput (Xbox 360 mode) on PC, at least only works with a very short cable (less than 1 meter).
You can probably get away with direct soldering but you need to make sure they donāt need resistors. If so, then add them inline. http://ledcalc.com/
Not true, electrical current passes the path of least resistance.
It current does not care if a wire is soldered, crimped, clapped or just laying in place, only if there is resistance or in our case insulation is there or not.
Thank you for actually answering my question, and not just stating the obvious hahaha.
Now that I know where it is, I might just follow the trace a bit and scrape it up gently with an exacto so I can solder away from the actual chip and not risk making a blob :S
I bought and installed my Brooks UFB about a week a go and have been playing without incident on the PS4 until the most recent update (Playstation 3.50 System Update) that I downloaded about thirty minutes ago. Iāve got two eight minute time outs, and then again after eight minutes I have no control but Iām caught in the back walk animation as if that input is being registered. Unplugging my controller and immediately plugging it in resets the eight minutes timer.
Was there a firmware update addressing this? I have not had to download anything for my PCB at this point. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for the info! Did a quick scan of this thread and didnāt see anything being mentioned, so I wanted to say something incase I missed this being addressed already. Not trying to be rude
