Brook Universal Fighting Board Thread

I’m planning to put a UFB in a HRAP3 and if i want to use the original turbo panel buttons (home/L3/R3/etc), what contact points on the original pcb do I need to solder to?

I’m confident there is an answer to this in the TT Forums if you use that search function. Its a pretty popular stick that many have modded. No need to gum up this thread with stick specifics.

Brook didn’t make any other board prior so by process of elimination it’s gotta be the smaller p3/p4 boards

I figured as much, but just wanted to confirm that it wasn’t something new/unreleased to the public. They did confirm with me that it is in fact the PS3/PS4 board.

I need some help. I’m on a shitty Slowish Iphone 4, forgive me for not searching the forums it’s too much pain and waste of time with this phone.

I installed the brook board on a madcatz vs stick, tested on pc, xbox360 but wont work in ps4, pressed home button and nothing (made sure it worked on 360)

I thought I read that there is something specific that needs to be done for the first time you plug into a ps4 but don’t remember the instructios and can’t find any info, am I missing something?

Thanks in advance!

Did you press home?

Like 67 times, and made sure the home button was working on pc and 360

If you’re on the newest firmware, you can hold triangle while plugging in to force ps4 mode

I think I tried, but I’m going to try again. I supposedly did the update.

You can test on a PC by holding 2P and plugging in, then going to start, run, joy.cpl

It should say P3 wired controller

How long of a USB cable are you using and are you going through and kind of imp or something in your stick?
Just wondering if there’s any outside factors.

No luck on force mode, guess the update wasn’t succesful

Do you have skype? Pm me

Problem solved, shame on me…

For those wondering, home wasn’t screwed in correctly.

And that’s why I really dislike screw terminals :slight_smile:

Solder all the way! :slight_smile:

@Falkentyne Nah, it’s: iusb3hub.sys page_fault_in_nonpaged_area

currently looking for an update

@GOGO.Zippy that didn’t work

@Lokomotivet working on it

thanks for the replies!

Hey guys, I’m new to the scene so sorry if this is a stupid question, there are three options given at the order screen for the ufb soldered headers (none, all headers, 20 pin and sub)what is the difference between these? And is their an easy way to wire a kaimana led board to the ufb?? Sorry but thanks for any help in advance

each one has more headers installed. If you only are worried about the kaimana, i would get the 20 pin/usb. If you plan on using jst harnesses to connect LEDs, LS/RS, etc, get the all headers option.

First off huge fan of your work thanks for responding.

Essentially I just got a razer attic xb1 I want to mod a ufb Into it and a kaimana mini 8 button kit, as well as daisy chain the grounds to the buttons (as it looks like should be done for the kaimana and ufb) and also want to light the joystick as well.

So I need to order the ufb and kaimana mini 8 piece set, what else should I order? I really appreciate the feedback

So, as others have previously mentioned, I too think my BSOD issues are MOBO and/or BIOS related. I’ve exhausted all the options I’ve been able to find, and nothing has worked. I guess I can update my BIOS, but I honestly just think it’s a hardware issue.

Tried the board on a diff Win7 PC, and it recognized the board without any issues. Will test PS4 later to make sure it works on console.

Interesting thing to note is that when I try to update the firmware, the crash doesn’t happen immediately, everything runs like normal but as soon as the update ends, I get a BSOD; the same iusb3hub.sys error. I guess I’ll eventually get around to updating my BIOS just to see, but after hours of troubleshooting and digging through this thread, I just think it’ll be a waste of time.

Thanks again for all those helped with previous posts, or by replying to my post. Hopefully a solid solution is found soon.
