Fighcade? You can’t just switch it to xbox mode and the pc immediately recognize the board as an Xbox 360 controller, which SF5 will pick up? Or do you have to use some kind of software to bridge it / map buttons?
My PC recognizes it as 360 xbone or ps4 controller. SFV picks it up when it’s in 360 mode. You map the buttons in the fightcade program but it feels like there’s a slight delay. I’m thinking it might be a win 10 problem cause I don’t get the delay in SFV.
That being said for some reason when mapping my HK (3K) button it shows up as Joy 0 Z Negative instead of something like Joy 0 Button 6. This happens with 360 xbone and ps4 mode. Before it would show as just button 6 or whatever. It isn’t a real problem but it’s an announce. Again probably something to with with win 10.
So you’re saying you map it for other games, but don’t need to map it for SF5? If your pc recognizes ‘xbox 360 controller’ you shouldn’t need to map anything.
I was able to update to the newest firmware on another laptop no issue. Now im trying to plug my stick into my the old tower i use for fightcade. Its running XP. Cant find a driver when i plug it in ps4 mode or xbox360 mode. Is there another driver link for XP?
Has anybody else ran into issues installing this on an Atrox? The up, left and right joystick inputs are no longer registering. I think its an issue with the joystick but I didn’t have this problem before installing the PCB…
We are now at NorCal Regionals 2016 helping anyone who has question about firmware update or compatibility issue. You are welcome to visit “Arcade Shock” @Vicko booth for assistance.
We have helped Manny Alvarado on the right at NCR with his Madcatz TE Round 2 stick. His friend Matty Lund on the left is using Brook UFB in his Matcatz TE2.
Has anyone ran into a bug where when you plug in the board, the device connect sound plays and then the device disconnect sound immediately plays after?
I’m running the latest firmware.
The device works fine despite the disconnect sound, and it shows up as an Xbox One controller in Windows 8.1
I have one of these on its way and can’t wait to get my hands on it. One thing I’m wondering. For PS4 games, is the touchpad button really important? Or will I be fine going without it? I don’t have a PS4 yet.
i actually found that page and DL’d the right one. After i installed it , it stopped telling me there was new hardware found. It shows it as a xbox360 controller when i go to controller properties and do inputs/buttons presses it doesnt reflect nor can i map them in fightcade. I restarted my computer too and waited for it to boot up before plugging in my stick. Same problem. I have another stick i can use, but id really want to have to grab this stick for everything.
Am I missing something?
Thanks man
Just wanted to let people know that the dimensions of the brook board are exactly the same as the PS360+ - same width/length and same screw placement. I ended up buying a project box I now don’t need since it fit perfectly in my PS360+ hitbox.
How to wire up the rest of the 3x 6-wire ribbon cables that connect to the turbo/x360 control panel e.g. D6B, D9X, D10Y, D13LB, D14RB, D7A, D12RT, D11LT etc.
You have a VCC and Ground from the control panel PCB to the UFB - tick
You have a ground from the UFB to the terminal strip - tick
Don’t forget, you’ll be taking the main 360 PCB out, so you don’t need to worry about the D6B, D9X, D10Y, D13LB, D14RB, D7A, D12RT, D11LT ribbons from the control panel PCB to the Brook, that part is being handled by the terminal strip since they are the buttons
Are the LS/RS and LEDs necessary? IMO nope, they never get used anyway :), if you do have to have them, the LS/RS is correct, but I’m not 100% about the LEDs, I’d have to open my TE up.
I would wire the turbo button to the TPKEY of the UFB instead of the TBKEY (unless you really want turbo :)) this will give you touch pad functionality.
My understanding is that these are for the turbo LEDs? E.g. B, X, Y, LB, RB, A, RT and LT? Without these being connected somehow, they wouldn’t light up?
There’s also DP, which I’m missing - no idea how that connects.
If I went this route there would be no need for the turbo LEDs, LS, DP, RS etc… would make it easier.
The one hard bit is the 6-wire ribbon for CN4, that connects to different parts of the board which would mean I’d have to split this ribbon cable.
So it kinda fixed itself, i had a dual ps2 to pc converter plugged into my comp. I unplugged that and tried ps3 mode and it worked. So i mapped my buttons fightcade and didnt look back. Ill have to test it in other modes, but for now, its working, and well at that.
