Hey guys, I just got my board, I plugged it in straight out of the box using the type-b connector to test it. Windows recognizes it as an Xbox One controller in the “Game Controllers” window but within a few seconds (2-4) it will disappear from the list. The blue LED on the board remains on while it’s plugged in. Any insight? Running Win10.
Planning to grab the pre install ps3/ps4 Brook FightBoard. For the two 24mm buttons which terminal do I plug it in? Planning to use a Tek Case so there will be two 24mm buttons available
I think you’re best to use that for start/options and select/share (that’s how I’ve done it with my TE), what do people do with a home/guide button with the Tek Case?.
You could ask Art to add another 2x holes if possible for the TP_KEY and home buttons. With my TE, I’ve used the Turbo button as the TP_KEY button.
thx for your reply!
thats not the reason why it doesnt work. i have sf5 on pc and a hitbox with a 360 fightpad board in it and it works.
when you play with a keyboard it works too.
can you check some other things for me?
what happens when you press back and forward at the same time? he should walk forward.
does holding forward, tapping down and punch leads to a shoryuken?
do you play on pc or ps4?
it seems to be a “issue” with the brook converter and in this case board.
really strange.
Thanks for the reply. I have no idea what people do with the home/guide button wit the Tek Case. I’m thinking of going with home and select button so I can update firmware
i was trying to update the firmware on my board last night. Everytime i plugged in the stick it would recognize it and as soon as i start the update the computer would kick me off. Its not installing the driver for the stick properly. Is there a file i can manually dl for the driver? windows 7 laptop
When you make a daisy chain to ground the buttons, do you put have the chain on only the 8 face buttons or do you link it all together including the side start/select etc buttons?
@Vecayse@fundando is correct, the Universal Fight Board is common ground so you can connect ground from any ground point to any signal point. This includes buttons or joysticks. Because there are more than one ground connections on the screw terminals you can separate out daisy chains and or connect buttons independently, with them all tied back to one of the ground spots on the board, what ever works/looks best for your set up!
Looking into the Kaimana for LED control, I saw it’s designed for PS360+ but has been used with other boards successfully. Would using it with the UFB be substantially different than setting it up for the PS360+?
With SOCD cleaning on both the ps360+ and the brook universal if you press back and forward then it cancels them both and gives you neutral. If you press down and up at the same time it gives you up. I’ve used both ps360+ and ufb on pc and they both behave the same way. I mainly play on ps4 though.
