Right now I have a 360 TE1 with an MC Cthulhu.
If I got one of these would I be able to retain all functionality in all modes somehow?
If you’re using legacy, you still need the cthulhu, otherwise if you only want ps3/360 you can substitute the UFB for both.
Right but can I keep turbo/start/select/home?
Yes, why wouldn’t you?
I’m just making sure before I buy. Better safe than sorry.
Hello All,
Have read through the posts.
Updated my mobo usb drivers.
Installed the recommended xbone1
Tried the force mode.
Board has latest firmware.
BSOD, no matter when i plug it in, sends PC in an infinite boot loop.
I am running windows 7, works fine with a console, but will not work with my PC, any new suggestions?

I have a concern about all the ground points on this board. I have an old stick that is wired to an xbox 360 pcb. All of my ground wires are daisy changed and ground to just 1 spot on the current PCB. I see that there are multiple ground points on this universal one. Will I need to use all of these grounds for my stick to work or do I just need to use 1 ground? Sorry for the newb question, I’m just not familiar with how that works. I had someone setup my current stick since I can’t solder worth a dang but I really want to get this board and do it myself if I can.
The board is common ground, so all the grounds are same. The multiple ground locations are for convenience cause most set ups will have a daisy chain for the buttons, ground from the lever wiring harness and a ground from LED boards . Instead daisy chaining the lever ground, button ground, and LED grounds, the lever ground can go to one ground location, the button daisy chain to the other and so on. Long story short, the multiple ground locations on the board are daisy chained to each other.
Wow, they should have add that to the wiring diagram.
I totally chopped up my chain thinking the grounds were for the jstick, action buttons and the admin buttons.
Multimeters are most important for modding. I may have taken it for granted but in all electrical schematics GND = GND = GND if they are labeled the same despite being in different locations.

Yes, and it shows that each button set goes to a specific ground. It’s very misleading, they need to footnote that all grounds are common and current daisy chains can connect to any one of the 3 commons.

It makes using common switches (4 pole, 3 throw) far easier.
Would using a Single Pole Double Throw (On Off On) work? E.g. http://canada.newark.com/zf-cherry/srj24a3bbbnn/switch-rocker-spdt-20a-250v-black/dp/25K9862
Wiring and switches and stuff are like Greek to me so figuring this all out is proving to be a bit of a challenge
If were talking Dual mods for having more than 1 board, no.
I think I quoted the wrong post by Jasen -_-;; I’m trying to inquire about a switch for the Ls dp rs toggle (J7)
Ok, so I’m about ready to pull the trigger on this fighting board. 1 more quick newb question on this. On my custom stick, I have 10 buttons. What buttons must I have for the stick to work properly? I’m going to mostly play on PS4 with occasional 360 play. Do I need to account for the share, options, and PS button? I don’t really want to add another button if I don’t necessarily have to.

Sounds like a issue on your Windows 7 computer.
Did you get a error code with your BSOD?This is what happens when I plug it into USB 3.0 and 2.0. I get BSOD, after firmware update I get no more lock ups…
I know what you mean but the weird thing is that it happens on two completely different computers with different hardware etc.
Could it perhaps be missing drivers?
I just upgraded my computer and I’m getting this problem now. Already updated my USB drivers but still keep getting it. Rather a shame.

Yep. It was working just fine yesterday on my PC but once I upgraded my motherboard and CPU today it just stopped.

I’m just curious but I had a thought about the pc’s freezing when the Brook UFB is plugged in. I remember that skylake processors do have a prime number bug causing them to crash and not sure if they ever patched it or not. I wonder if somehow that bug was being triggered. Would be worth noting if all the people experiencing this problem were on skylake platforms or not in order to rule out that possibility.

I am on a skylake platform. The Asus z170-a. Also a little update. I downloaded the xbone controller and it didn’t freeze my computer when plugging it in. It’s not working with any games but it’s better than nothing right now.
Lol never mind. It’s still at it.
See if theres any bios updates for your mother board available

Already did. I’ve got all the drivers updated.
yeah stated you had the latest drivers before, but drivers and BIOS are two different things, a BIOS runs before the os even boots and is flashed to the motherboard rather then written on the hdd. Are you absolutely sure youre running the latest BIOS on your motherboard? No offence, but you never know…

I’m absolutely sure.
Installed my board and while my punch, kick, PS/XB button and start button are working just fine, my stick is having problems.
Up and down are working fine
Left is triggering up-left
Right is triggering up-right
I am testing in training mode on SFV on PS4 and using the screw terminal block.
EDIT: There are two signals and a ground. I had everything on signal. Rewriting is all good now.
