Brook Universal Fighting Board Thread

Hello All,

Have read through the posts.

Updated my mobo usb drivers.
Installed the recommended xbone1
Tried the force mode.
Board has latest firmware.

BSOD, no matter when i plug it in, sends PC in an infinite boot loop.

I am running windows 7, works fine with a console, but will not work with my PC, any new suggestions?

Great, I will try this today and reply back with results.

Thank you for your advice.

Uninstalled xboxone driver, installed xbox360 driver, held down RB/P3, plugged in.

Still getting BSOD

Just did a windows update so all drivers should be correct, and still getting BSOD. I give up :s

do u have a console to test faulty pcb? or even faulty USB Cable doing bad things to your usb ports :s dunno

Have you tried using a powered USB hub?

Works fine on an xbone 1, minus a few lag problems, and a few drops

Ok this is a mobo driver MSI will have to fix, I am using an MSI Krait board. I plugged the board into another PC with the same Win7 setup and it recognized the board no problem.

I will contact MSI for further troubleshooting.

I think the problem with my fightboard disconnecting is due to a faulty usb cable.

I have a concern about all the ground points on this board. I have an old stick that is wired to an xbox 360 pcb. All of my ground wires are daisy changed and ground to just 1 spot on the current PCB. I see that there are multiple ground points on this universal one. Will I need to use all of these grounds for my stick to work or do I just need to use 1 ground? Sorry for the newb question, I’m just not familiar with how that works. I had someone setup my current stick since I can’t solder worth a dang but I really want to get this board and do it myself if I can.

The board is common ground, so all the grounds are same. The multiple ground locations are for convenience cause most set ups will have a daisy chain for the buttons, ground from the lever wiring harness and a ground from LED boards . Instead daisy chaining the lever ground, button ground, and LED grounds, the lever ground can go to one ground location, the button daisy chain to the other and so on. Long story short, the multiple ground locations on the board are daisy chained to each other.

Just out of curiosity, what are people using for the home button? Only having a start and select on a Razer kind of leaves an option on the table, making you choose between home, options, and share on ps4. I guess I can live without the share button if it comes to that.

On mine I have home mapped to select and start to start. No share or TP button.

razer atrox? You can map home to the xbox guide button on the turbo panel no?

Sorry was in a rush, cables are fine.

I called MSI, and they said the last ditch effort was updating the bios, however, I was on the current version already.

Chalking it up to mobo incompatability as the board works on other PC’s and works with my xboxone, just bad luck i guess.

Right now I have a 360 TE1 with an MC Cthulhu.

If I got one of these would I be able to retain all functionality in all modes somehow?

We used combo keys >> PS and SHARE (or SELECT) to update firmware.
Brook will provide to add Option (or START) to update in future…

If you’re using legacy, you still need the cthulhu, otherwise if you only want ps3/360 you can substitute the UFB for both.

Would using a Single Pole Double Throw (On Off On) work? E.g. http://canada.newark.com/zf-cherry/srj24a3bbbnn/switch-rocker-spdt-20a-250v-black/dp/25K9862

Wiring and switches and stuff are like Greek to me so figuring this all out is proving to be a bit of a challenge

If were talking Dual mods for having more than 1 board, no.

Right but can I keep turbo/start/select/home?
