The app shows … ( updated failed ), but UFB still are working. The recent firmware was supported automatic and the forced mode to select.
When UFB updated completely, it changed to XBOX One mode, the app will verify this mode on PC.
So please use the manual mode to install Xboxone driver to try.
Those are windows 7 drivers. I’m running on windows 10. I’m not sure if they’re the same or not. I plugged in a normal xbox one controller and it’s listed in the device manager under xbox peripherals as an “xbox controller”. The microsoft controller works fine in games on my machine. I don’t think my xbox driver is installed incorrectly.
Before I attempted the firmware upgrade, my universal fightboard did show up as an xbox controller. However right now it’s displaying as 2 entries in the device manager, both listed under the Human Interface Devices section:
HID
HID-compliant game controller
HID-compliant vendor-defined device.
It I hold home + select to put into into the firmware update mode it shows up only as
HID-compliant device
The firware upate program lets me attempt another update, but it always fails
Did you try using a usb 2.0 port instead of a usb 3.0 port? Also are your usb drivers up to date from your motherboard manufacturer? These are some things people have mentioned in the thread that have caused their pc to crash.
Also on your other pc, did it have xbox one drivers installed? If not then it would show up as unidentified.
Installed a couple of these without any issues until my latest one. Looking for troubleshooting.
Plug it into myour pc running win10, same port I’ve previously used.
Board power led comes on but nothing else happens.
Plug it in again in update moxe, power led comes on and so do p1 and p4 leds but still nothing.
Hey guys. Gutted out an Atrox to install a UFB, and aside from the general tediousness I’ve come across an odd issue. My soldered USB cable (taken from the Atrox) is having issues being found by Windows - it pops up as ‘Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)’. A USB cable plugged into the port shows up. Figured it was a problem with my soldering, but even after redoing it and using a different cable I’m getting the same thing. Just wondering if this is a known issue, if I should bother troubleshooting further, or just give up and use the port.
Check your motherboard manufacturer’s driver page. You may need updated drivers for your USB controller. Someone in this thread had the same issue until he updated them.
So I completely uninstalled my xbox one drivers and reinstalled them from the link provided in this thread. I still had the same issues as before, joystick not recognized.
After @GOGO.Zippy said that the update worked it just couldn’t verify I decided to test out forced modes on my pc. I tried every single console forced and they all were picked up as valid game controllers in windows, even the xbox one support. After I discovered this I tried forcing xbox one mode while plugging into my xbox one – and it worked!
So as far as I can tell the auto-detection seems to put the board into a completely invalid state, however if I force into the console I need it appears to be working. Anyone else experience something similar?
@Murphy0X
The PC system is different with consoles, We believed the automatic mode should be well on all game consoles. So we added the forced mode to solve a bit on PC.
We are depending on Xboxone spec to develop X1 controller, it’s sorry to look more issues. I suggested all guys used the forced mode to setup 360 on PC, because there are more games and windows system to support 360…
Okay so I installed the Brook Board. Tested it on 360, PS3, and PS4 so far.
Realized the 4P and 4K Buttons aren’t working. I’m not sure if the Remora Board doesn’t have common ground (I’m pretty sure it does) or if the signal wires were wired incorrectly (Which I’ve double checked and am 90% it’s correct)
Also to add, the Player LEDs on the Madcatz Turbo Panel are not lighting up. I don’t know what’s causing that but this was the schematic I was using.
