To be more specific. If I went into training room and set button config on controller 1 to HK, the button worked as intended but if I then went into a match or left training and went back in the RT key would reset to all 3Ks. It did not matter what key I mapped RT too it would always add 3Ks to it after changing game type (so I could have it assigned to HP and it would give me HP 3K after reloading into training). After going into button config for controller 1 2 3 4 and setting all buttons to exactly the same thing did the error stop happening. I can only presume there may be an issue with controller selection or the board is cycling through controller 1 2 3 4 hence why when I unplugged and plugged back in it reset to HK for controller 1? I canāt confirm this though as I donāt have LEDs set up. Anyway hope this helps.
THIS WORKED! Thank you! I tried plugging in an XBox one controller to āforceā a driver update, but while that controller worked, fight stick didnāt. So, I installed these drivers, unplug/replug and now everything is working. Also plugged the One controller, then back to the fight stick again and everything is grand. Thanks for the assistance!
Iām really new to all of this so please bear with me ><
Iām trying to mod my PS3 Fightstick Pro but it seems my Joystick uses a 5 pin harness but the Universal Fighting Board doesnāt have a jack for that. Additionally, Iām not sure how to connect to the front panel either. Does anyone have any helpful guides or tips?
Just received my universal fight board, really impressive! So Iām planning the layout for the box, and I just had a couple questions.
Does this board have any support for headphones/microphone? Iām assuming it does not as I canāt find any place for it on the board, but there are a bunch of solderable connections that I donāt know what they do, so asking just in case.
Case specific question: So I am using a madcatz fightstick SE box (Some may not like it, but the small size/portability/how it sits on my lap is perfect). Iām trying to figure out the best way to connect the home button (in this case it will be the ps3/ps4 home button). Anyone know the specific wire or the schematic for this particular board?
Just wired my TE2 up w brook universal board. Used the 20-pin harness from PAS to get all the basic buttons working. Tested on PS3 and PS4, good so far. Will test on PC and 360 soon. Donāt have an XB1 near me but will test that too.
I have a question specific to TE2 ā where do I wire the solder points for:
Ofc I know where these solder points are on the universal board; I wanna know where they should be wired to on the TE2. Mine is MadCatz TE2 for PS4/PS3.
hey everyone, testing out a beta firmware with zippy that have forced modes and some changes to SOCD. forcing to 360 mode is solving my PC connection issue where the board cant stay connected on Windows 10 and also for those on Windows XP who cant get the xboxone driver. Stay tunedā¦
Just to get the basic functions (8 buttons, start button, joystick) working, you only need to solder the USB cable if you plan to keep the stock one. For a solderless install, take a USB B-A Printer cable and use that instead. Remember to tie a knot in the cable before it exits the case.
Stuff like the player leds, home, select and turbo require soldering VCC and GND to the secondary board in addition to the signals.
Since the PS home button and player LED indicators are part of the turbo panel and use two 6-pin harnesses, are there any guides on how to split those up? Thanks again for all the help!
Same way you would do for the joystick; cut off the harnesses and strip the appropriate wires and then connect them to where they need to be on the UFB. Pretty sure Mad Catz turbo panels have all the pins labeled on the board (at least the TE did, idk about the Pro), so you should be able to look at the board to know which wires to strip.
I think Iām going to gut my sticks and put this in them. Or at least one of them lol. I feel that doing a PS360 dual mod with this one is gonna be difficultā¦
Actually there is a trick for the control panel (home select start etc) for the q4 or eightarc fusions. Especially If you donāt want to damage the ribbon cable. You can actually insert wires in the back of the ribbon cable connectors that connect the control panel board to the main board. I would secure with hot glue if you choose to go that route. Not elegant, but it works.
