I am still having trouble with it on Windows 10. I even reinstalled the driver (which I got from here) and it still did not work. Could you elaborate on how to “select the driver yourself?” My controller is showing up as an Xbox Controller in the device manager, but doesn’t show up in Game Controllers, and no applications recognize it either.
Got mine almost done, one question, I am putting it in a SFIV TE1. I dont get the LED diagram, they all say Player 1, assuming that is a error? Also the diagram of LEDs to show player function shows way more than I have, maybe newer revisions of the stick?
Thats one of things I was asking, I have 8 LEDS on my stick, but I am assuming that changed over time?
Yeah I just I saw that, what I meant in my post is it says to hook PLayer 1 4 different times on the instructions, I am assuming this is an error?
Also I am having the same issue others are reporting in Windows 10, the stick is identified, powers on and then disconnects after about 10 seconds. It shows up in Device Manager as a XBOX One stick though.
Update: Tried my windows 7 laptop and everything works perfect, this seems to be a Windows 10 issue.
Chish,
Plug in the usb, right click on windows button, go to control panel, search for device manager, click it, look at the list near the bottom you will see either xbox peripherals or usb device not found. Right click on that icon, click update driver software, then click browse my computer for driver software, then click let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer, you should see an xbox controller or xbox one controller model listed, if not click have disk and select the driver that you downloaded from here. It should say xbox one controller or xbox controller in device manager if you did it correctly. Also remember to plug in first then launch SF4.
Oh and you can use electrical tape to cover the light if you want. You are using a white plexi that is used for lighted signs, hence why you can see it so well. I’d actually recommend putting a steel or aluminum base under the plexi to strengthen it. A local sign shop would be able to hook you with that to size I’m sure.
Gotcha, that clears up my confusion haha. I have everything installed now except the toggle switch for ls,rs, ds but I dont even know if I need that really. Tested on XB1, PS4 and PC so far. Other than the above win10 issue, everything works fine.
grendelrt,
Try changing it to XBOX ONE as the model. When I first installed it did say XBOX, but I just plugged it in now and it says XBOX ONE and got a runtime error but still works. I’m wondering if the auto select on the board is being selected based upon what was previously installed on your system. So if Windows has never seen it before it guesses what device it is and installs the wrong driver. I’ve used both Xbox 360 and Xbox one controllers on my Windows 10 before so maybe that’s playing a factor as well.
@SunTzu81
Thanks your testing and pic. We will a version to set default as XBOX One mode in PC. At this time we will add ( forced ) and automatic mode in UFB, they will work together.
Zippy,
After playing a few more hours today there is a bug where RT keeps reassigning. I have to unplug and then replug back in to fix it. Appears to happen when changing game modes. Any ideas?
EDIT: I went into button config and set all 4 controllers to the exact same settings and it seems to have fixed the problem for now. The only thing I can’t explain is none of the 3Ks were assigned to RT on any of the controllers so why was it defaulting to that?
That makes a lot more sense. Ive never used either xbox or xbox one controller on this pc. When I plugged int he brook board it installed the xbox 360 driver, but not the xbox one driver. So I had to go download the xbox one drivers manually before they showed up in the driver list. I just selected them manually as you posted and now everything works, thanks for the quick solution!!
