Seeing as I’ve got my Fightboard in the Gen 1 TE, before I strip it and get the soldering iron out, is it possible to wire the active for the turbo and guide buttons to the L3 button and do the same for back and start for R3?
This will then essentially give me everything I need for the next gen console… Brook has already made the touch pad functionality available through tp_key + dpad so Im just wondering if I could wire up two buttons to make l3/r3
Yeah pretty much. I’m just thinking the old PS360 could press start and select to replicate the home button (I’m guessing that’s done via programming on the pcb?)
I thought by simply putting the two active lines of T+G to the single active of L3 it could be done - but my knowledge of electronics is limited, I simply read the guides
If you wire the turbo and guide buttons together, you will be activating all 3 buttons at once. Not going to work like you want. You will need to make a circuit with a NAND gate to achieve what you want.

We have helped Manny Alvarado on the right at NCR with his Madcatz TE Round 2 stick. His friend Matty Lund on the left is using Brook UFB in his Matcatz TE2.
As someone who doesn’t know how to solder and is planning on installing this via the breakout board with the screw terminals, do I need the home button? If I do I could sacrifice a KKK/PPP button for it right?
I don’t actually own a PS4 as I’m mainly a PC player, is the home button necessary to activate the stick or can I do without it? I don’t wanna bring this stick to a tournament and get screwed by not having home button functionality.
