@GOGO.Zippy I’m also having the issue with win 7 where it will recognize the pcb but it won’t register any inputs. I know some people had their issue fix but no one confirmed if the beta update was the issue. I have tried what you have told the other people and the same issue persists. Can I test out the beta update as well to see if it will resolve the issue?
Hi guys I’m quite new here,
i just bought brook fighting board ps3/ps4 last month and have been loving everything about the item since then.
But for some reason the brook fighting board ps3/ps4 stop working yesterday for no apparent reason and even when i plug it into my pc, it doesn’t get detected as a device.
I checked the board with a multimeter and it shows that the board is still getting 5.5v of voltage and all my connections including d+ and d- seems to be connected properly too.
Is there (or any plans for) a firmware patch that allows for automatic xinput protocol when used on pc?
I saw this on the brooks website
"Add manual detective XInput mode on PC: Press the OPTION(START) button then plug USB"
Would it be possible to reverse it so you need to push start for it to switch to ps4 mode and just have xinput be the default mode. I primarily play on pc.
So those are all optional add ons? I can add the ps4 touch function but ignore #2? I assumed (wrongly) that those were all just included in one big update.
You’re absolutely right, holding start is not that hard. With that said, no sale if I have to do that.
I have no idea what #2 is or what options you’re referring to. You can wire up whatever buttons you want. At the minimum, you need to wire up select and home to update.
I appreciate your attempt at trying to help. Hopefully GOGO.zippy (or someone else) can chime in when he finds the time.
[edit] Scratch the attempt, you did help me by informing me that the pcb already auto detects pc and switches to xinput. My latest concern is if the patch which I took a screen shot of, for those 4 features it lists if they’re optional addons you can toggle in the update. Some of those features I’d like to have, but I don’t want the feature of having to manually switch to xinput whenever I play on pc.
Pretty sure the manual mode was added for people having issues on Windows 10 or certain motherboards that won’t autodetect.
The other features aren’t toggleable; they’re included and part of the package.
You’ll need to be on the latest firmware if you don’t want timeout on ps4. If you’re having issues, zippys been kind enough to make some one off updates for testing, so you can always ping him for assistance.
@Torta@Vicko
Brook already created a version to support with both of the forced and automatic mode.
When we tested completely by our qualified dept, it will release on Brook website for all.
How to force consoles?
Press 1P=PS3, 2P=PS4, 3P=XID, then plugged in USB on PC
On Ps3 - Home becomes the PS button / Share is Select
X-Input on PC - Home Becomes the XBOX button which brings up some special features on windows 10 or can launch big picture mode in steam. Share becomes Back
Planning on getting the new etokki omni which apparently has this board, just wondering if there are any performance upgrades or anything of the sort when compared to the UFB (other than the xbox support). If I’m just using it with PC/PS4, there are no major differences, correct?
