Brook PS3/PS4 "Fightboard" PCB Thread

hey guys,

so i have my brook ps3/ps4 fightboard + impv2 + 360 padhack here: https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/IMaqz9IzaJSlgRsLoqlGWwIaxr0bfOgJXJuQI80Df8L?v=grid&ref_=cd_ph_share_link_copy

i checked with the impv2 pdf and the wiring is all correct. checked the continuity on all the button wiring and they all check out. however, when i plug in the stick, it only recognizes the 360 padhack – home button is wired for switching, but does not switch. also, none of the buttons work.

any ideas? i’ve been going backwards on this thread to see if there were any similar issues, but the last thing i saw was D+ and D- being swapped, which i made sure is correct on my end.

You sure you neef the imp? I thought the pas breakout could do the USB switching?

it does not
If none of your buttons work, sounds like you have a grounding issue

ok i suspected as much here. i converged all 3 daisy chain ground wires (face buttons, start/select/home, joystick directions) into one gate in the euro strip, so one wire comes out and goes into brook’s one of many GND screw terminal. maybe this is not working as intended. i will try different things and update everyone.

terminal strips only work when metal is touching metal, make sure the screws of that terminal is connecting bare metal and not insulation.

Did you share VCC and GND Properly?

Also remember to short the jumpers on the IMP to use it without cthulhu

For anyone that has a 3d printer and is interested I made a PCB holder for the brooks PS3/PS4 board. There are two versions, one to use with screws and a lower profile one to use in small cases like the namco case. You can download it at https://youmagine.com/designs/brook-ps3-ps4-fightboard-pcb-holder

thanks @Vicko @Darksakul @Torta i got the stick to work perfectly. turns out shoving 3 wires into 1 gate on a euro strip is not too great of an idea. too many variables in how far each wire would be inserted, etc.

spare stick is fully wired and organized now, ready for guests w/o sticks =) still gotta get new plexi though

I got a faulty PCB and Paradise Arcade is taking FOREVER to give me the return slip. I’m losing my patience.

@gahrling

You Fix it to work on Win7 ? What is the magic ?

I see your problem is the same as my.

@GOGO.Zippy

Maybe this firmware “beta version to fix PC issue” can fix my issue ?

Hey everybody. If you are thinking of using this board with the Paradise Arcade Breakout, I made a video giving you some details on both. I also show you how to mount the PCBs to each other.

Does the same problem happen when playing on your PC or a PS3 Console? (Just trying to eliminate your PS4 usb first)

Im having the same problem as others, with it showing up as xbox 360 controller for windows, im on windows 10 64 bit, wondering if i might get that beta version and give it a go?

PS3PS4 board is also borked on windows after updating to the latest build on the site, was working just fine before. Just send me the beta drivers and we’ll see if that helps, I went through all the other steps suggested and nothing worked. Is there not a way to just roll back to the drivers that were working?

Edit: Thanks @GOGO.Zippy the beta files worked for me.
