Brook PS3/PS4 "Fightboard" PCB Thread

@koman
We already fixed it , we are going to test and waiting by our QC dept.
If U need it, I will release to U.

Is there a way to force PS3 or PS4 mode on a PC?

I’m having issues in Windows 7 - I can update the firmware fine but the joystick and buttons aren’t being detected at all. It works when plugged into a console.

I don’t have that problem
Would work the same on either mode

But to answer your question they only included forced modes on the UFB

@gahrling @Vicko
Run PS4 mode when plugged in USB on PC, then PS4/PS3 Fighting Board will change to X-Input mode.

Press START/OPTIONS then plugged in USB on PC, PS3/PS4 FB will run X-Input by forced mode. in 20160114 version, U can try it.

Hi,

I’ve tried that but it isn’t changing anything on PC. I know my buttons work because they are registering fine on PS4.

For clarity I’m not trying to play SF5 on my PC, the buttons and joystick are not being recognised in the Game Controllers app built into Windows. The device is being detected and I can update the firmware, just that nothing else is working on PC.

@gahrling
Do you use the forced X-Input mode on PC ?

I tried holding down the start button while while plugging in, it made no difference.

I’m using the latest Brook firmware.

@gahrling
Please try in others USB port …

@gahrling
Sorry. We don’t add the forced X-Input mode on PC in recent version .
if you are okay, I can give a beta version to verify and reply your advice.

Thanks

Yes please, send me the link to that beta version.

@gahrling
Please look your inbox

I’ve updated to the beta you sent but I’m still having the exact same problem. I’m trying it with the Start button held down while plugging in. Is this still the same way of forcing xinput?

And yes, I’m trying different USB ports on different computers, all have Windows 7 installed.

@gahrling
Press START(OPTIONS )then plugged in USB on PC, it will run X-Input by forced mode

I have tried that and it’s not working. The device is recognised and I can update the firmware fine, but joystick & buttons do not register, they only seem to work on console.

Thanks for your help so far but it looks like it will not work on PC for me : (

@gahrling
Please uninstall this device from and reconnect to try.

I have just uninstalled all controller drivers and restarted my computers.

I’m still having the same problem.

This is how it appears in my controller app: http://prnt.sc/a4exac

Do you have the MS driver? Not sure if that matters. Mine works fine on this and UFB forced 360 mode.

Thanks @Vicko reminder

im having trouble with my board being detected at all. i checked my wiring, even used a voltmeter to make sure the thing is getting power (5v,3.3v are getting readings). Is there something else i could check?

Check device manager, see if anything shows up at all under Human interface devices.

Also check that any buttons are not accidentally grounded, that may be a cause as I had that issue today. You should see “USB input device” as well as “Microsoft controller” or something like that.
