I’m having issues in Windows 7 - I can update the firmware fine but the joystick and buttons aren’t being detected at all. It works when plugged into a console.
I’ve tried that but it isn’t changing anything on PC. I know my buttons work because they are registering fine on PS4.
For clarity I’m not trying to play SF5 on my PC, the buttons and joystick are not being recognised in the Game Controllers app built into Windows. The device is being detected and I can update the firmware, just that nothing else is working on PC.
@gahrling
Sorry. We don’t add the forced X-Input mode on PC in recent version .
if you are okay, I can give a beta version to verify and reply your advice.
I’ve updated to the beta you sent but I’m still having the exact same problem. I’m trying it with the Start button held down while plugging in. Is this still the same way of forcing xinput?
And yes, I’m trying different USB ports on different computers, all have Windows 7 installed.
I have tried that and it’s not working. The device is recognised and I can update the firmware fine, but joystick & buttons do not register, they only seem to work on console.
Thanks for your help so far but it looks like it will not work on PC for me : (
im having trouble with my board being detected at all. i checked my wiring, even used a voltmeter to make sure the thing is getting power (5v,3.3v are getting readings). Is there something else i could check?
Check device manager, see if anything shows up at all under Human interface devices.
Also check that any buttons are not accidentally grounded, that may be a cause as I had that issue today. You should see “USB input device” as well as “Microsoft controller” or something like that.
