Brook PS3/PS4 "Fightboard" PCB Thread

Thanks man, I’m sold. Still curious to see the comparison between the brook FB vs brook universal.

The Paradise Breakout Boards are available! Already placed my order.

How difficult would it be to install this on a PS3/PC Hit Box controller that currently has a Toodles Cthulu PS3/PC Board? Using a breakout board (solderless method) that is.

Any advice is appreciated

Very simple.

Hi All,

I have modded my HRAP V3 with the Brook PS3/PS4 FB and made a simple test with HRAP V.隼 & V.HAYABASU. Hope it is useful for the people who concern about the input lag.

I am more interested in comparison with a less garbage pcb than hori’s. I use GG Xrd Sign gamepad which is according to Teyah’s stick input delay results the best non-time out pcb for PS4.

Yeah, I’ve tried everything Zippy. I’ve tried everything you’ve told me to do and I can’t get it to come up in HID Transfer mode. It always comes up as controller and the update button is never enabled.

In this video it looks like there is something superglued in there - would that cause some complications? Sorry for the ignorance, really new to all this.

That’s just the USB B port on the PS360+. It also looks like hot glue, not super glue. It was probably done it to be absolutely sure that the cable would not pop out of the port. You can either peel the glue off and take the cable out, or replace the cable entirely.

@Akshen
U updated this file in others PC and try again.
Which OS do you use ? We can confirm again in my office…

Im using Windows 7 64-Bit. I’ve tried in like 4 computers and it always comes up as controller and never goes into HID transfer mode.

Although the old Hori RAP V 隼(Hayabusa) is not good (going to sell mine), but there is a improvement for the new Hori RAP V HAYABUSA. According to this japanese wesite the performance of the new Hori RAP V HAYABUSA is similar to Hori RAP V4 & Madcatz TE2.

will dual modding this with an xbox360 pcb hinder with the firmware update?

Great question. Depends how you dual mod it. If it’s done thru an imp switch then it may cause an issue since the PC will mostly likely pick up the 360 board instead. The safe bet would be to install a dpdt switch for the usb data lines so that it’s guaranteed the PC hit the proper PCB. Hope this helps…

Currently SOCD filter turns U+D into U. Is there a way to have alternative firmware where U+D=N? It makes TK moves easier to input, also provides a way to block overheads by pressing U while low blocking, rather than letting go of D.

I’ve installed one of these in a friend’s Madcatz Soul Calibur stick, and wired the select button on the stick to touchpad press as he has no use for the share button. I thought I read that home+touchpad should work to enable the update, but it’s not working. Is there a way to update without the select/share button?

edit. wrong thread

Oh ok…looks like dpdt switch is the way to go then :smiley:

okay this is new. I guess I have to rewire it. This would explain all the problems i’ve been having. Thanks for all the help by the way Zippy.

@Akshen
Please look this link to check your wires. http://www.brookaccessory.com/detail/58690501/

I’m having issues installing the Brook fightboard pcb in a MCchtulu setup with an imp V1.

Anyone with a similar setup can confirm if it works?
