Brook PS3/PS4 "Fightboard" PCB Thread

ok it works, had to restart pc and redo the firmware update. not sure why it did not work last time =/

@BtB
When your board pressed combo keys in PC at first time, it changed to HID transfer mode. The OS will automatically install standard driver so that OS might be reboot to be recognition.

i was just gonna come here and bring up the issue but it’s already taken care of! such good service

Most likely will keep being an issue, but brook seems to be on top of it pretty well… made me question if i should pad hack another fight pad to not have to worry about it but the brook board is so tiny an convenient

So is the breakout board out yet?

It is not updating for me, it gets really close to the end up the update then disconnects and says update failed.

At first time, it changes to Other mode. OS will automatically install usb standard driver.
Maybe reboot and re-update…
Please try again and thanks…

Hey Zippy, I can’t get the board to update. Holding home and select doesn’t do anything when I plug in the stick and the update button is not enabled. Any ideas? I’ve tried two different computers and have restarted the computer.

At first time, it changes to Other (HID Transfer) mode when you pressed two buttons in PC, OS will automatically install usb standard driver.
Maybe reboot and re-do update all steps

  1. Run App
  2. Press two buttons then plug on USB. (you should look a HID transfer In device and printer )
  3. Update icon enabled to do.(Don’t release two buttons)
  4. Waiting and.finishing

Please try again and thanks…

It keeps coming up as controller in devices and printers. Is there a way to force it into HID transfer mode through the pc?

Press PS and Share (SELECT) at the same time, then plug into USB.

Please look at instructions manual to do or follow steps in App

Yeah, i still can’t get it to detect as an HID transfer mode. It keeps coming up as controller when holding the PS/Home button and select/options.

@Akshen
It’s strong, please update in others pc again.
Easy to update…

According to the release statement for the Multi console Brook board they did some work with testing for lag, for those still interested in the original FB (PS3/PS4) how are they in relation as far as lag goes? Is one better than the other?

Also if anyone was wondering, I’m using the brook fightboard with toodles imp and i can still bootload with the imp in-between if i’m holding the two buttons, even if I’m using the guide button to swap between my XB and Brook board.

@wazwuz tested it to be slightly faster than the hori FC4 pcb.

I saw that but is there a difference in lag between Original Brook FB and the universal Brook board?

Doubtful

Only reason I ask is because of the release statement for the universal board, they said they were hard at work on different aspects including lag.

Hi All,

I have modded my HRAP V3 with the Brook PS3/PS4 FB and made a simple test with HRAP V.隼 & V.HAYABASU. Hope it is useful for the people who concern about the input lag.
